Great for Travel/Hiking/Camping
I bought this so I could charge my DSLR battery without having access to a power outlet. We went backpacking for many days with only a couple power banks to charge some electronics such as cellphones. This plugged into those and charged my battery just fine. It is also small and lightweight so adding it to my backpack was not a problem. I would recommend this for any time that you don't have a power outlet available or even as a backup charger since you could plug it in to an adapter. It does feel a little cheap when you receive it but it has worked for me for my purposes so I am happy with it.

Perfect in almost every way!
This portable battery charger was a great travel replacement for my battery charger for my camera.I love that it uses a USB cord to charge, so you can use it almost anywhere, on your laptop, in your car...but the battery becomes easily dislodged from the charger, so if you’re actually traveling... make sure it’s in a place it won’t get jostled much. Other than that it’s perfect!

Works just fine.
Just a dumb trickle charger. Internals appear to be a simple step-up switching supply. Supplies about 12 volts unloaded enough to charge the 7.2 battery. Does not have pins for the termistor inside the battery pack. Holding tabs require slightly too much force to disengage versus the oem charger. the Works just fine for topping off batteries in the field from a usb battery pack or similar. Works with computer despite the warning sticker on the back. Gets warm but not alarmingly so.

2 of these + battery pack = very happy photographer with forever power.
So, I'm a photographer enthusiast, and I find myself constantly needing to charge my batteries (of which I have 4). To do this, I bought 2 of these guys, and a 15000 mah battery. These chargers being USB REALLY complements that battery pack and allows for MANY recharge cycles from that 1 battery pack.I was worried about overcharging with the batteries as this only has a positive and a negative terminal, and the designated charger has more, but after I finished charging a battery, I took it off and put it back in the charger to see if it would reset its charge time, but NO! it knew the battery was fully charged.Charging speed is obviously a bit slower than a wall charger, but what do you expect from USB?Great small charger. Highly recommended to those who want the portability usage, especially when coupled with a battery pack

Useful
This was purchased to recharge Nikon battery EN EL 14/A on-the-go to with a battery pack and it seems useful and serving its purpose using Micro USB/USB connector. Contrary to its description as a 'rapid' charger, it takes really long to recharge the battery, I would say about twice as long if not three times as long as the AC adapter. But for its portability, it achieves its intended purpose and better than not having the battery charged. Hopefully there will be improvement in its 'rapid' charging in the future.

Very happy with the charger
This is a nice, slim unit that weights barely more than the battery itself. I've only used it 2-3 times now, and haven't paid close attention to how long it takes to charge the battery, but I'm very happy with it. It's much smaller than the stock Nikon charger, and is powered off of USB so I can use it when camping or traveling.

It Doesn't Charge--What More Can I Say?
I've tried the charger with both Nikon and third-party batteries and used a portable power bank and a wall adapter, and in no case has the charger actually charged a battery--in fact batteries seem to be even more depleted after using this charger. An utter failure in all respects.

No juice no pictures
Large images use juice. Long Tele lens use juice. Major juice eater is your need to see each image. FLASH pix gobble juice especially outside shots at longer distances. So having an extra SD is handy for your next 4000 pix. But without extra juice all else is wasted. This combination of battery and charger gives you quality power for worry free shooting at a very low price.
