The product itself was built well, the battery pack location does allow for a laptop to easily fit on top while getting a charge from the unit inside. Too many extra bags and a bit steep on the price for what you get, but overall functions well for a carry on.

I was apprehensive to spend just over 400 bucks on this but, this is the best suitcase I have ever owned. I get complements on it constantly. It fits easily in compartments on every plane I have traveled. I can sit at the gate with my laptop on top of it, or my coffee, or my quick meal, or my feet! Small rental car? Not an issue. I travel light and this thing is perfect. I don't need to carry one of those portable battery packs either.I love the illumination, the ports, the way it rolls, how light it is and I cannot fault this item.My neighbor runs a barber shop. He also makes "house calls" and does events. He uses it for his barber tools and loves it. Ups the professionalism look and honestly, it's like pulling up in an expensive car because people take you more seriously.I toss my wallet and FOB in it so my FOB is safe from being "scraped" (shielding also extends battery life in FOBs) and my CCards are safe, I just carry ID and one card in my pocket. Even if you travel with a lot of luggage that you have to check, this Samsara case is an excellent travel tool. I am sure as they get into retailers, the price will come down a bit but, I will buy another for my wife when we go on vacation in December.I actually paid a little more than the price here on Amazon as I was unaware it was here! The one I am buying for my wife, I will buy from here.
