What a great series! I was really looking for something to satisfy my Game of Thrones and Sarah J Maas love when I stumbled on these books. All of them are great. The first book starts off a bit slow and the relationships progress a bit fast but hang on! The books get better and better. The ending had me in tears! That hasn’t happened in years. So emotional because you know the characters so well by the end. Really, really well written. Well worth the commitment. Bring on more books! :)

Great plot and characters, with a totally unforeseen Deus ex Machina at the end, but the god is the bad guy. And despite the foreshadowing, the key heroine was a bit of a surprise. I really like the way Rayne writes. The two month wait for the fourth and final book seemed interminable. Highest recommendation.

Feeling as though you, as the reader, is a part of the Furyck clan, the story magnificently rolls through a realively short period of time with massive amounts of thrills and winding mysteries. The history is fabulously steeped in the fictional drama and the landacape is brought to life by the author. The entire series is well written and ignites a fire that the reader cannot put out. It is so compelling that six books of almost 700 pages each leaves one thirsty for more! Highly recommend!

I wrote a review on the first of the series to let people know to definitely read the series. This is my second time reading and i had forgotten how wonderfully written and great the characters are. Reminds me of Joe Ambercrombie and how his characters made you hate/love them but AE Rayne is so descriptive of the weather and landscape that I felt like I was there, though most places I would not want to even visit. I do look forward to visiting more of Raynes worlds though and she has became of of my faves.

I feel like part of me has gone . Am sitting in an airport weeping quietly and hoping no one notices. A happy ending bu tinged with sadness and loss. Looking forward to the prequel

This author has the ability of writing an in depth story without bombarding you with useless details. The flow of the story made sense and kept me engaged from the first book to the last. So much so that I purchased the audio to go with the books so I could listen while I was doing other things. A big thumbs up for the audio performance as well, it was nicely done. This Series is well worth the time.

It cannot ever end because life goes on. Families go on and so will the characters in this series live on. What a great epic series. This is one for all the lovers of Game of thrones to pick up and read you will get lost from reality for a while. Enjoy!

Wonderful characters, I feel like I know them, feel them, grieve for them in their suffering. I almost gave up on Meena and Eadmun, but I had to wait and see. My tears are barely dry though my adrenaline is still up and my heart is still racing. What an epic ending. So many story lines to follow and characters to love (or hate), Such a great series.
