I've always had an issue with tarter. To help combat build up, I've purchased multiple implements from the store over the years. They've always just been cheap dental tool wannabes. They only work so so. I've even resorted to sterilizing a sewing needle to lightly scrap tarter off between my teeth. I was hesitant to purchase this set after seeing some reviews of serrated edges and not good quality.Baloney! I am very impressed with the quality of the tools. Sure the case is cheap vinyl with cardboard sandwiched in between. Piece of cake to make two folds for the case to close. I sterilized the tools I was going to use in boiling water. Even the mirror held up. That tells you its put on with some sort of epoxy cement and can handle the temp. They seem very sturdy and the tips are made of metal that is a decent gauge, not too thin. Using anything like this you have to be careful not to damage the tooth enamel or gums. Everyone's enamel is different, some soft, some hard…so work with caution and take care of your teeth.I don’t hesitate to recommend them for personal use, family use or pet use.

These tools are great to get into small spaces. I primarily bought these to take knots of jewelry chains. They arrived on the promised date, well packaged, and I was impressed with the quality of the tools and its container for the price. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great price for a great dental tool set.

I purchased this set because I was trying to scrap off battery acid from old electronic toys I had. I don't have good scrapping tools so I thought to use dental tools as they are meant to scrape off hard gunk in your teeth. The scrapper and hook-like tools did a great job at scraping the stuff off. My biggest complaint about this set is the fact that the caps for the sharp tools were fairly difficult to put back on. I have damaged the caps slightly due to this and even managed to stab my finger while putting one of the cap back on. Thankfully I didn't bleed but it was really painful (think stabbing yourself with a millimeter thick knife). I can't believe people are actually using these things to scrape their teeth. If stabbing your finger with these things by accident gives you extreme pain, the pain of stabbing your teeth and gums by accident with this thing must be unimaginable! The caps being not easy to figure out is, in my mind, an accident waiting to happen and I will likely recycle them. They are also a bit too fine for me for my purposes though I'm sure someone who needs to do super fine scrapping will have a use for them. I will save the paddle scrapper, mirror and tweezers though as they will very much come in handy for me. The case is pretty nice too. For those using these tools to clean their teeth and gums, you have been warned.
