Perfect Combination Of Function And Value
I am so glad to have found these little jewels. I've used Plackers flossers for years and am impressed with their quality and economical price (they actually make the perpendicular flossers I can actually use; I can't get my back teeth without giving myself lockjaw with the standard kind!). So I had good expectations when I found these and was not disappointed.I have struggled with not so much grinding my teeth but with pressure, clenching at night. I discovered this the hard way about a decade ago when I had to have two very expensive root canals due to subterranean (haha, my term for periodontal) cracks that showed up with agonizing suddenness. After dealing with that situation, I obviously began using one of the name brand standards that you boil and fit, which actually worked very well until it wore out after maybe a year or so. I really liked and had a great experience with that one. However, my attempts to form another one did not work for some reason, I think due to some teeth shifting and change in my bite following the root canals. And when I did form one, I was uncomfortably aware of it and couldn't fall asleep due to the distraction.I tried about every other economical version on the market, but couldn't find one that either worked or was comfortable enough to stay with. I didn't want to invest in a super expensive custom professional one unless absolutely necessary. So I felt some hope when I stumbled across these on Amazon when shopping for some other dental products. At the price I figured they were definitely worth a shot. I was tired of wasting money on things that didn't work.I was pleasantly impressed and relieved. They are VERY lightweight and comfortable. They have flexibility to adapt to my bite without tension and discomfort. And basically feel like wearing a comfortable broken-in pair of jeans or shoes. Perhaps the only negative thing I have to say, based on other reviews, is that they may not work well for everybody since every body is different in shape and size. They do tend to run a little on the small side. It may be an asset in the sense that they take up as little space as possible. For me they separate and cushion my teeth enough to do the job. But they may not extend back far enough for some. Another consideration is clenching versus movement. I need primarily the cushioning and vertical separation and don't really grind. Grinding could probably cause them to dislodge fairly easily.Just because they're disposable doesn't mean they can't be used for a good while. Another reviewer mentioned about cleaning them between uses. Absolutely! Because of their lightness and flexibility they will eventually wear out. But with the price, fantastic comparative value. I plan on staying with these. They've given comfort, protection, and peace of mind in preventing the prospect of another fractured tooth. Weirdly, I actually look forward to popping them in at night. I hope this helps someone. Certainly worth giving a try and may just be a good solution. Anything to cut down on dental problems and expense!(As an aside, I have to put in a plug for the toothpastes with hydroxyapatite. I've experienced good results with those for dealing with periodontal deterioration, sensitivity, and mitigating softening enamel.)

Comfortable to wear; excellent performance
I initially tried one of those bite guards that you heat up in the microwave (or in boiling water) and mold it to your teeth. It was very uncomfortable and didn't work well. Before spending the big bucks to get a custom one, I tried these. I'm very glad I did -- these are easy to use, comfortable to wear, and work very well to alleviate problems caused by my tooth grinding. While these are billed as disposable after three uses, I get weeks of use out of each one before it needs to be replaced. I wash it in the morning and store it in a small container filled with mouthwash (an alcohol-based one).I position it on my upper teeth. The cross band in the front doesn't cause any gum irritation, and keeps the guard in place while I'm sleeping. I've yet to have it get dislodged during the night. My only regret is that I didn't start using these decades ago before my grinding caused all the wear on my teeth and jaw. These have been performing very well and the price is excellent -- five stars.

Can help with sensory input for jaw alignment
Small and slightly too thick for my use which is not grinding, but aligning my jaw from messed up teeth groove alignment per the dentist.I do not know the material or if it releases plastics.

NOT RETURNABLE - DANGER to your BITE AFTER ONE USE.
I was hoping to like this product, but there is a major flaw along with others.1. My biggest issue is that it does not cover all molars. I am a minor clencher and I need it to cover all my back molars, but this does not. If your most back molars (tooth #2 and #15) are not hitting against something, your molars will keep "growing" out. Because the other molars before the back ones are in contact with the product, it makes the back ones (not in contact) feel TALL, resulting in a BAD BITE. This is dangerous and can cause you problems with your teeth, jaw, and bite. After one night of using them, my back molars "grew" because they had no opposing contact force, which led me to have DAYS of bad bite. My back molars felt too tall and kept contacting first before my other teeth. It caused my back molars to take in all the force and they ended up hurting badly. The jaw is ever-changing and will always adjust and "grow". You can ask your dentist about this topic - your teeth are always growing out, making this product a DANGER.2. I have a small mouth and even this does not fit me. The plastic connecting the bite plates HURT my gums - they are not soft but are hard. The bite plates do not have a shape at all to fit onto teeth. You literally just put it on and, It just sits there WIDE OPEN. It will move around in your mouth if you do not bite it down.I was so disappointed to see that I could not get a refund for this terrible product. I only used one and was like "oh i'll return... maybe they can just package the other 9 unused ones to new boxes or something." NOPE, it's yours to keep forever because no return policy AT ALL.I will be going to my dentist to get a customizable mouth guard. It is REALLY NOT WORTH it to save the money WHILE PUTTING YOUR TEETH/JAW IN DANGER. I wanted to save the money and a trip to the dentist, and I regret that. Maybe a boil mouth guard could work if you really can't go to the dentist, but at this point, don't risk your teeth for the extra money. I tried those and it's not easy to get the right fit, but at least they were returnable. It could cost you more in the future if you end up with bad occlusal bite. (Or you can try the customizable ones on Amazon where you mail it and they make it in a lab for you. Haven't tried it before though.)
