Money well spent
Delivery: This item was not on Prime, and shipped from a toy store in Compton, Ca. I got it in two days from FedEx on a Saturday, three days before start of the promised window of Tuesday to Friday.Assembly: After pulling it out of the box, first you slide the hand brake assembly onto the handle bars, and tighten with provided hex wrench. Then you attach the hand grips by screwing them into the handlebars. The left one goes counter-clockwise. That's *it*. I went around the scooter with the hex wrenches and made sure everything was tight. The only thing that needed tightening was the kick stand. (Thanks to my cat for pointing that out!)Observations: This scooter is well designed and built. I don't feel like it's going to fall apart on me anytime soon. It's heavier than I expected, and is difficult for me to tote it around. I'll spend more time walking it with the handle bars up. When folded, it is possible to grab a hand grip and drag it, but it's not very stable. I'm learning how to manage it on the bus. Front wheel down against the bus wall with the bike leaning over toward me. The handle bars make a good arm rest and allow me to keep it steady.Performance: You can start the motor from a cold start. You don't need to kick it to a certain speed before the motor will come on. (I assume the range would be increased with good kick starts first.) The throttle is smooth and continuous from 0 to X, depending on mode. No cruise control. This is a plus for me since I can operate it slowly without changing modes. On the road: We know that estimates are based on "certain conditions" (carrying a newborn downhill, downwind). I weigh 170 pounds. Here are the *real* numbers for me:Mode 3, 14 MPH, 9 mile rangeMode 2, 7 MPH, 11 mile rangeMode 1, 4 MPH, no distance check since I can almost walk that fast!Charge time from won't-go-anymore to full: 3-1/2 hours (as advertised). This scooter does very well on hills. In mode 3, it takes me up rather steep grades at 9 MPH. It doesn't LIKE it, but it does it.Inconsistencies: The manual says the front tire needs to be inflated to 28 PSI, and refers to instructions in section 3.4, which doesn't exist. (The tire is not a bit squishy, so I believe it's solid, like the back one.) The manual describes the pairing status indicator on the display while this scooter does not support a mobile app. The manual describes a 42V charger while my voltage is 36. The manual says a bottle holder was included with the package but was not. I am convinced I have a manual for a different model that was poorly edited for this one. I asked them for the correct manual and received the same one in PDF format.Summary: I think this is a great scooter, especially for the price. It's solid, easy to use, and gets me from point A to point B. It does better with hills than I expected. Since it looks like the scooter may outlive the battery, I asked if replacement batteries were available. The answer was yes. If the specs meet your needs, then you can't go wrong with this scooter at less than $300.Addendum 1: I recently discovered this is the same scooter as the Swagger 5 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F45HL7M/) which supports a mobile app. Clearly Swagtron provides more realistic specs (matching the 11-mile range I get with the YDS).Addendum 2: It looks like just about everybody sells a version of this scooter. Swagtron, Hoover, etc. As near as I can figure, it's actually made by Xiao Mi (M365). https://www.amazon.com/Xiaomi-Electric-Long-range-Fold-n-Carry-Ultra-Lightweight/dp/B076KKX4BC Searching for that on the Internet reveals all kinds of resources from spare parts to repair instructions. That makes this scooter an exceptional buy.

Disappointment
Every day something goes wrong— the cover on the front wheel became loose after 2 days (no collisions or banging into anything or rocky surface riding).A screw popped out.The tail light just came off.Have had it for a little more than a week, and am so upset about this purchase!!

Dont expect longevity
Update: Piece of crap only lasted 6 months. Stopped charging and turns off by itself shortly after turning it on.All of these scooters are made in china and I would not expect them to last any length of time. Already 2 weeks in and the charging port pushed into the battery compartment. Had to open it up and glue it back in. I can tell the battery level goes down quickly on the display after 2 weeks of use. Glad I bought a less expensive one as I dont expect it to last. 15 mph will be the fastest you'll get this thing which is realistically fast enough. You'll have to check screws and bolts occasionally as some of them came loose.

YDS Scooter.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I am not an expert in scooter though I have tried more than 5 brands the last 2 years. I could say that The YDS scooter is not a bad scooter. I like the fact that it is fast, But I think that the stem loosens from the collar while in use. Other than that, the scooter is good. I use it to commute from my home to the train station and vise versa.

Satisfied
Satisfied with the scooter for <$300. It goes well on the flat surfaces that I scoot.I gave it 4 stars, because when I received it, the power adapter was broken. For me it was a relatively easy to fix for a few dollars, however, I expect most people would have returned for another.

Battery out after 9 month
The Battery is not holding charge anymore after only 9 months. I wrote an email to the company asking for help but they ignored me. I paid way too much for this item. It was working well but if the battery charge is only holding for 10 minutes it is useless.

Good till it stops working?
It seems great when it works. After charging the correct amount if time, the scooter stopped working when it showed full battery on a ride to work. We are giving it another go, but wondering if anyone else had encountered that. Maybe a lemon battery? Other than that it’s been great.
