True Mods 6 Way Blade Fuse Box with Ground Negative Bus bar for Automotive [ATC/ATO Blade Fuses] [100 Amp] [LED] [Protection Cover] [12V - 30V DC] Auto Marine Ground Fuse Block

I installed this for add-on accessories on my brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy. I was installing a trailer wiring harness that required a direct battery connection and I hate having a bunch of wires hanging off the battery post so I installed this fuse block. I've only used one of the available 6 circuits so far, but I'm sure that will change as I add a radar detector and maybe a camera or two to my car.I like the idea of the red lights that illuminate when a fuse is blown. The description doesn't specifically say it, but the lights remain dark when everything is OK. If you're not using a circuit--no fuse plugged in and no wire plugged into a tab--the light for that circuit remains dark. This is good because having the light on all the time would allow for a constant drain on the battery... slight, yes, but a drain nonetheless.The plastic cover is nice and provides for a clean installation. I'd call it water resistant, but not waterproof. Also, I've installed other fuseblocks in the past that come with a rubber boot to cover the power input stud. This one didn't come with a boot so I just installed a short piece of heat shrink tubing to cover the otherwise exposed terminal. Seems like it'd be easy to accidentally touch it with a wrench or something. I've never been a big fan of sparks!One installation tip... I used glue to attach this to the side of the box that holds my OEM fuse box. If you go to the hardware store, ABS cement is perfect for this task. Look specifically for ABS cement and NOT the PVC cement... Different chemicals. The installation is pretty much permanent using this option, but I'd rather leave behind this inexpensive box when I sell this car rather than leaving empty holes from mounting and then removing this box.

I've bought two of these so far, one for my sedan and one for my truck. I'm using them because I'm somewhat paranoid about shorting out existing fuzes in my vehicles, and wanted my lighting accessories to be completely separate from any of the OEM fuzes in the vehicles in case of malfunction. They are sturdy, compact enough to fit in spots you wouldn't expect them to, and so far I've had zero malfunctions. These also seem to accept both mini-size blade fuzes (which I used) and larger, older style blade fuzes (which I haven't used, but verified would fit into the slots). The clear plastic cover and the LED indicator lights should make it easy to determine which, if any, fuzes have blown. I wouldn't know from experience (yet), because these things have held up well for the 2 months or so that I've had them installed so far. They seem to be pretty resistant to vibration and weather conditions - mainly the cold, since I installed them underhood in both vehicles in places where I doubt they'll get much moisture. That was just common sense - not out of any concern that moisture would be a big problem for these units. If you're doing accessory wiring on your car and wish to keep those circuits separate from the rest of your stock electronics, you really can't go wrong picking up one of these puppies and installing it. I'm a novice to accessory wiring, and I was still able to figure it out right away.

Worked good to add fuse and distribution for accessories to my 1948 Willys.

Durable material and easy to setup. Robust terminals and connections. Connect and screw down to house positive power and neutral ground. Connect components you need to be fused as to not blow up the battery or the component. There is a LED on the terminal block which illuminates when fuse gets shorted.Added 12v accessories battery for additional indicator lights, headlights, running daylights, horn, gps and other devices to motor bike.

Love how compact but versatile this is. Small enough to fit under my crowded footwell but has enough slots for many aftermarket attachments. My only gripe with it would be the lack of a flat back. If you don’t want to drill into your car to mount it with the provided holes, you can’t use double sided tape because the back is hollowed out. I had to epoxy some flat plastic to the edge of the piece to be able to mount it where I wanted. Besides that, no problems and it works great. Like that it comes with a protective cover as well to avoid any bumping near the fuses.

Very good quality and compact. Installed this on top of the fuse box in the engine compartment of my truck to power add on accessories such as a backup camera and a ham radio. I installed a 30 amp inline fuse between the battery and the power pole of the this unit then used appropriate sized fuses to each equipment powered off of this unit. I don't like the exposed hot bolt and plate so I covered it with a plastic tube and secured it with...chewing gum (okay that is your laugh for the day...but it works!) that I stuffed in the tube and mashed down over the bolt, spreading the gum out over the base plate. Now there is no exposed "hot" metal. You can use a silicone filler to do the same job as the chewing gum!When I installed the fuses a couple of the lights came on indicating a fuse failure which was a bit disconcerting. The problem was that the fuse was not well seated. When I pushed the fuse in further the light went out. The Red LED failure light is a very nice feature.
