Introduction to Layout Command Control: Basic Concepts and Practical Examples of LCC for Model Railroads

I liked that this book presents not only an overview of LCC but also develops a full working signaling implementation as an example over a few chapters. This is a first edition so there are some typos but the real benefit of this book is the author’s ability to explain LCC in clear language and provide a detailed example

In general, I am not happy with installing a CAN bus system on my Ann Arbor Model Railroad. I was hoping this book would allow more in-site into the LCC protocols for my plan to build a MQTT system that in general is compatible with the NMRA standards. It just wasn't there.This is a good book for those who are unfamiliar with LCC, but just won't take you to the point of designing your own modules.

Good book, tons of information!

Excellent and very detailed instructions on how add LCC control onto your layout.

Basic understanding of how to implement LCC for model railroad projects.

There are a number of places in the book where tables or examples are garbled - at least when viewing in the Kindle App on iPhone or iPad. I tried to find a way to ask him about that specifically, but did not. The book is pretty informative on the subject otherwise. The author does spend a significant about of time talking about test setups and electronics (like buttons). That can be good if you don't have a lot of experience with the buttons.
