I bought these ones originally and was very pleased with them, I then tried some others that were on offer and they were terrible and so much thinner than these amazon basic ones so I've just ordered more of the amazon ones...don't be put off by them being called 'Basic' they're anything but! Not had a failure with these ones unlike the thinner ones!One tip I would like to share with people wresting to get duvets etc in vac bags is to get some clear wheelie bin liners (clear so you can see what's in there when you've forgotten later on!) put your duvet in one of those and hoover out the air (I use a Henry) you can shape it as the air is being drawn out, twist the top of the bag and tie a knot. Now you've got a manageable duvet to put in the proper vac bag without the risk of splitting it, suck out the air from that and a frustrating job is now made easy!!I've saved so much space storing towels, pillows and duvets for when family visit and all the spare pet beds are now in a neat little pile too instead of taking up loads of space!You haven't wasted the bin bag as it's in there for next time.

This is fantastic storage solution, I brought this to make space when storing things its great space saving it reduces a massive volume freeing up storage space. I put all my 5 winter jackets in one bag and it’s amazing also clothes, bedding, towels. Its thick plastic shields items from dust or moisture double zip seal ensures long-term airtight storage. Very Easy to Use Works with a hand pump or standard hose for quick sealing. It is reusable & also portable great for travel and reusable over time.

These Amazon Basics vacuum storage bags are much larger than I expected, which turned out to be a bonus! They easily fit bulky items like bedding and really helped save space.The only downside was the hand pump, it’s not the most effective. We ended up using the vacuum cleaner instead, which worked much better and made sealing quick and easy.Pros:Very spacious and durableCompresses contents really wellGreat value for the pack sizeCons:Hand pump isn’t very effectiveGreat product overall, just skip the pump and grab the hoover. I am very impressed with these vacuum packing bags. 8-10 chunky arran jumpers plus a few extra clothing items have compressed into a package equating to the size of just 3-4 jumpers, reducing the overall package size by at least 50-60%.They are very easy to use: just pack items up to the maximum fill line, push the air out and then either apply the included manual pump to pump air out or use a vacuum cleaner hose, which is the easier and faster option.On releasing the valve, air returns to the bag and clothing rebounds again. Perfect for storage, travel, moving home or any occasion where space is money. I will happily order again.

It is the first time I have brought something like this and they are great! rather than have a wardrobe full of winter clothes I thought I would vacuum pack them and put them away to save space. They are still exactly how I left them after use when I put them in the top of the wardrobe so pleased with the result (about 2 months), they were really easy to pack and take the air out, the bags are sturdy and of good quality. I can't comment about re-using them as this is the first time. So far so good though.

We bought these for a house moved. The pump given with the items is next to useless. We used the vacuum cleaner, which seems to compress them quickly. However, once the vacuum was taken off, the air starts to leak back in and it is very fiddly to get the rubber stopper and top back on. There should be some kind of 2 way valve, like on a airbed or inflatable dinghy. After a short time, some of the bags had started to re-inflate.

The quality is great. The volume of the bag is bigger than what I thought, so I can now fit a lot of clothes inside these bags! The pump is also really easy to use and can pump air out of the bag efficiently. Great travel accessory.
