K&S Technologies Universal Turn Signal Switch With LED

Purchased this to replace the Baja Designs switch on my '99 Yamaha WR400F dual sport. It seems to be every bit as high quality as the OEM swith on my '14 WR250R. It was not plug and play for my bike, but did include the other end of the plug with bare wires, and an adequately detailed color code for the wires on the package.One nice touch is that the headlight switch is also a kill switch. All the way down is "lights off/engine off", one click up is "running lights on/engine on", and the next click up is "headlight and running light on/engine on". There is also another kill switch on the back, though it seems a bit unnecessary.My only complaint is that the high/low beam switch seems a little flimsy compared to the rest of it, but that's really nit-picking and it does function just fine.

I’ve noticed that they don’t always return to their neutral position easily, which could be a potential issue in the long term.Reliability Concerns:One major issue I’ve encountered is that my headlight sometimes flickers when the switch is engaged. This has me questioning the overall reliability of the switch, especially when riding in more demanding conditions. I’m not sure if this is an isolated issue, but it’s something to keep an eye on.Overall, while the K&S Technologies Universal Turn Signal Switch is a decent product with a quick and easy install and multiple wiring options, I do have concerns about the long-term reliability, especially with the flickering headlight and the sticky switches. I'm giving it four stars because there are so many variables in the system that I can't be sure where the flickering originates. If the sticky button and switch issues are resolved, it would be a much stronger product, but for now, I’m unsure about its durability. It’s a good value for the price, but I’m cautious about highly recommending it without knowing how well it holds up over time.

WOW! Perfect match, fit, and not even one wire needed to be swapped. The definition of "plug & play" in my situation. Unbelievable find for me, as my switches were starting to break and fall off. THANK YOU K&S !!!!

Replaced my original Baja designs unit perfectly. Plug and play. I am a little concerned the on/P/H switch may not last.

Pro: Does fit the baja designs kit.Con: high low switch came stuck on high.Pro for me: I bought it because my old one got stuck on low, so now I at least can pass safety to register it.Con for me: I just paid over 60 dollars for a cheap filmsy broken control cluster. Yippee...

I wired this into a 1980 Suzuki GS850 as a replacement for the 35 year old factory switch assembly. Now that it's installed, it works fine. The installation process itself, however, was less than stellar. As with most switch assemblies, the wiring beneath the plastic housing sits very close to the handlebars. In the case of this unit, the wires touch. One of them is unshielded. Since handlebars in most instances (mine included) act as a ground, I immediately blew a fuse when I turned on the headlights. After I identified the issue, I added some electrical tape to the inside of the switch and reinstalled it. It is working now, though I am unimpressed with the quality control. When it comes to electrics, "not shorting out" is on page one of product testing.Otherwise, the unit as a whole seems decent. The exterior is plastic, but it's fairly solid. The switches all work, but aren't very smooth feeling. Overall it does the job, but it's a bit overpriced for the simplicity of the product, the materials used, and the shorting issue.Note: This is NOT a drop in fit for old Suzukis. I removed the self-cancelling control unit as part of the installation. Early 80's Suzuki turn signal switches have seven electrical contacts to provide information to the control unit. This replacement has only three. Also, I didn't wire in the kill switch; I already have one on the right, just like everyone else.

Hooked up to my 2001 XR 650R and it works great. Took a couple hours to get the wires connected and get them right. The description on the back of the box is a little difficult to read and translate to XR colors. But all in all, after about 2 hours I have a replacement that seems even better than the stock piece. We will see how long it last after some crashes and in the muddy, wet elements. Let me know if your interested in pics and descriptions of how its hooked up.
