Good enough
A bit oddz maybe because I've never used canvas panels but it xlkind if soaks oluo the paint bsonif it's wet you aren't getting that immediately first layer. It's like you bhave to paintba whole layer and then paint again to actually get a smooth consistency. It worked fine for a little project but don't get them for anything important because I couldn't get a super smooth transition

Poster board?
This is very thin, cheap poster board, no illustration board. Don’t buy it if you are doing anything professional or serious.

Not what it thinks it is
I’m sure I missed the description that said exactly what these are but they are not thick, meaty illustrator board. These are thin chip board with one side white.. More like a coated double-thick cover stock than illustrator board. Fine for some things—mounting student work for in-class presentation, maybe—but it is not what it thinks it is.

Not what it is advertised as
This is not true illustration board. This is coated cardboard. You might as well draw on a cereal box.

Bad don’t buy
Thought I was getting illustration board got cardboard with shiny card stock on the front. It’s like the cardboard on a shoe box. Unusable.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Just got this today and am disappointed. But I guess for the price, I shouldn't have expected more. These boards are thin, with a white clay coating on one side and brown pressed fiber on the other, and are comparable to poster board. Throughout the pack of 25 boards, many have imperfections with visible grey fibers and spots. I'll give them a go to see how they hold up to different mediums, but not expecting miracles. The only saving feature, or so the label states, is that they're Neutral PH, making them suitable for mounting and as backing for framed artwork.

Four Stars
Good value..would pay a lil more for a lil more thickness preferably ,,

Thin and way too slick
These are awful. The media side is slick and doesn't take pencil/colored pencil/Copic marker well. They're thin and flimsy-- not even as thick as a sheet of poster board. I guess you get what you pay for.

thin
pretty thin, but my expectations were not that high after reading the other reviews. it was still thinner that i thought it would be. heavier than card stock... not much different than poster board. I haven't done anything on it yet I'm going to let my students try it out. I also thought it might be heavy enough for sketchbook making. yep I'm an art teacher

Do not buy
Watercolour paint makes the paper buckle uncontrollably and can be wiped off completely with water wrinkling the entire surface making it unusable . Oil paint slides on the surface as if it's on ice and days later can still be completely removed leaving the it stained . Charcoal , compressed or vine won't adhere .Ballpoint pens and graphite pencils do work ; so I guess you could use it for drawing although it's an odd feeling surface on which to do so .This has been my experience with the product , won't be buying again .
