worked as advertised.
Worked as said and did give codes but the codes are only possibilities and you still need to diagnose system. Great starting point and for the money..It did help out.

Useful
I bought this a while back. Still use it more than a year later. I think it's fairly easy to read. It gives you codes accurately. It performed well. Easy to connect with the obd2 it's speed in processing is ok. Pretty good but for me.

too small for my eyesite
I didn't realize it was so smallI returned it and got a 5210 which is larger with a color display and a few more featuresI am using it to do drive cycle on a 2002 Volvo V70xc to pass emissions

Purchased recommended by car dealership
So far my car’s engine has not thrown up any codes. It is easy to use, just plug it into the connection for it in your car with the car running. My connection in the cobalt 2009 is under and slightly left of the drive column

Not user friendly
The instructions that came with the product are vague. I had to figure it out by downloading a users manual online. And it wants to connect to wifi in order to work properly. Then it asks for the VIN number of the vehicle (I suspect that it does this in order to sync with the recorded history of maintenance done in the past for the vehicle). I done all that and got the codes, replaced all the parts using manufacturers recommendations from the dealership, and then tested my vehicle using the scanner once again. The second time I tested it, I got the same exact results (even though I had already replaced all the parts with new parts). I'm not sure what to make of that. My car is running way better that it has ever run due to the fact I replaced all those parts with new parts; however, I do not know why it is still giving me the same codes as before. I cleared all the codes and ran the test again. Same results. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. idkThe unit is a little tricky. Not that user friendly. For someone like myself who is not a professional mechanic and who does all his own work on the vehicle simply because he can't afford to take it to a mechanic, I would recommend searching for a better scanner. I don't know which ones out there are the best ones, but this scanner seems to lack the technical capabilities required for a "do-it-yourself" mechanic with limited knowledge such as myself. I would have thought that, after replacing all the parts the scanner gave codes for, that would have solved all the issues on my vehicle as far as the check engine light constantly coming on. I cleared it twice and still get the check engine light. I'm probably going to have to take it to someone with better diagnostic capabilities in order to finally get the issues resolved. Either that or buy a better scanner. That's my honest opinion.Mike V.Albuquerque, NM

Really slow compared to most, but reads codes a competitor can't.
I have a 2008 and bought a code reader for ~$20 a couple years ago. It kept coming up with errors saying my honda had factory codes that couldn't be deciphered. This one takes WAAAAAY longer to read the codes... but it actually reads them all. The buttons are a little clumsy. Somehow with more buttons (my cheaper one had 2) it was less intuitive and more difficult to use. But it reads a lot of codes.

Innova scan tool for ABS
The tester arrived quickly. After opening the box, I read the instruction card which had a link to download on my phone. After finally able to get the download, I was informed of a subscription fee. I then put it back in its box and go to Auto Zone for a diagnosis. Bought the parts, fixed the ABS, problem. I then put the tester in its box and put on the shelf. NOT HAPPY.
