STAS Picture Hanging Set: STAS Cobra + perlon Cord 118 inch (300 cm) + smartspring Hook

This system is far from cheap but it is a quality system. When hanging pictures that cost hundreds of dollars to frame it seemed worth it. Hanging the top bar was pretty easy once I figured out taping it loosely in place kept one end from popping out while I put the other end in. I used a rubber mallet as someone else suggested. I don’t think you could do it by merely pushing with you hand. The hanging lines are visible but I don’t see them as obtrusive. These should be easy to move to another house if needed as it will leave just a few holes that would be an easy patch.I would suggest buying the more expensive hooks for the picture back. (At least for the pictures way up high.) They are much easier to adjust than the ones that came with the cords.I gave it 4 stars for ease of use and installation, but keep in mind hanging pictures without this would get one star.

I’m a renter in an apartment that has a fireplace with no mantle. I ordered the STAS Picture Hanging Set 2 years ago and it’s been great! This year we adopted a cat and needed another hook to add his stocking. We love this system! It’s super easy to use and looks really sleek. It’s like your art is floating! Would recommend for any wall you can’t put nails into.
