Phantom L (Low profile) What a sweet deal
I have been replacing a bunch of keyboards in the $30 range in the last week looking at 68 keys to TKL size. The Phantom L sale price on Amazon $22 so within budget. It is listed with Low Profile brown switches, RGB and software to control the keyboard. Software not required for RGB setting but is required to run in system tray for Macro and custom key assignment. There's incredible value here, the RGB is top notch quality, the LED are right and crisp and not too bright or dim, just right! the light also doesn't over shine from around the keys and just looks premium when lit. In addition to this, the keyboard has a memory chip to retain the RGB mode selected including custom coloring per key when using the software... Many other keyboards fail this test even ones costing well over $100 and the software is not required to run for RGB. The keyboard looks very blend without RGB.The brown switches feel more like red linear switches, the low profile make them snappy with short travel distance for actuation. If I'm being picky the switches feel a bit mushy but only slightly because the travel distance is so short you bottom out before it becomes an issue. It is very comfortable for typing and very quiet. I can't tell if these switches have a tactile bump or not.... almost impossible to tell unless i press the key in slow motion.Quality of construction and build is very very good. There's barely any bend as I assume they used some sort of support plate. The keyboard (when RGB is off) look simple and the material has no special feel like it's overly premium. Considering this was $22 for low profile mechanical switches and the killer RGB feature set i cannot deduct any stars, the moment you turn on the RGB this keyboard looks like a $100 keyboard and it does typing and gaming very well for my needs. Now consider switches are hot swap able and this keyboard is probably the best value for your buck anywhere period especially if you wanted to change the switches to something more your style.I also personally prefer the low profile travel than full size switches there's really nothing bad i can say about this keyboard.I score this keyboardRGB 100%Switch Quality 90%Construction Quality 90%Premium feel 80%200% value for features set (Per key RGB, Mech Switch, Software, Macros, Hot Swap, on board memory, Low Profile...).

Great keyboard at a great price
This Keyboards price point had me thinking it was going to perform a lot like the others I've tried recently, but it has out performed almost every keyboard I've tried. The brushed aluminum top gives it a higher end appearance, and a sturdy feel - it doesn't feel cheap at all for a $15-20 keyboard.Initially I ordered one with brown switches, and liked it so much I ordered another with red switches, but unfortunately that one had a short in it. For some reason the function key row would send a bunch of keypresses if the case came into contact with my hand.As far as the switches go, I think the brown provided a much better experience. I have another keyboard with red switches and it doesn't feel mushy at all, but the Phantom L red switches did. It was odd, they almost fought back just before bottoming out, which felt like it was straining my fingers. The RGB effects are great, and outperform every single keyboard I've used at this price point - it's real RGB, not rainbow backlighting. My only criticism would be for the keyboard being for windows, through-and-through. But even that feels moot, because changing keycaps and modifier keys in Linux and macOS is easy peasy.Oh, one other thing, this keyboard will not work with USB-C to USB-C on any computer I've tried it on.Overall, if you're after a wired RGB hot swappable low profile mechanical keyboard, you can't go wrong with this one. Hopefully they keep making it!Also, I'd love to see this keyboard with a battery and all that tri-mode connection stuff.

Its a really good buy
I like it a lot! Feels comfortable to type on, brown switches feel good, and it's easy to change the colors. Easily the best keyboard I've had for years and I've had a bunch from (many Corsair and Razer keyboards too!). It just complete! It is really fancy with the metal, and it's curves, it's nice weight, adjustable flip out tabs to raise it. Definitely feel the difference with the low profile actuation pressing, a lot snapper and quicker. A lot nicer on my wrists too. Had it for months now and it is still working good. I would definitely recommend this keyboard.
