Great controller for the Analogue Duo
I recently bought the Analogue Duo and this controller pairs well and performs well. My only comment is that it’s a bit small but after a few plays it feels good and responds well. I’ll be picking up a second one soon.

One of the best wireless 2-button controllers on the market
For those considering this controller, I think it is best to firmly keep in mind what this controller was originally designed to do and judge it on those merits alone. As someone who has decades of experience playing on original TG16/PCE hardware, I can attest that this is a good, well-built 2-button wireless controller with variable turbo buttons. The 8bitdo PCE 2.4G controller does an admirable--albeit not perfect--job of replicating the style and feel of the original wired controllers. It has a lighter feel, and the four-way directional isn't as tight as the original 2-button Duo, the NEC Avenue Pad 3, or the NEC Avenue Pad 6. The trade off is a great wireless connection (with less than 7.6 ms latency) that charges fast and gets around 15 hours of playtime each charge. If you elect to play with it wired via USB, the input latency drops to 1 ms. Furthermore, contrary to original reports, it can be made to work on a PC in addition to the Mini and the Switch. Once you add the ability to manually increase or reduce the turbo button feature (hold Select + II + I buttons for 5 secs), this controller does an excellent job of doing exactly what it was designed to do:Provide a quality wireless two-button game play experience while reasonably replicating the look and feel of an original PCE/TG16 controller. That is what you can safely expect. Much of the negative feedback featured in the review sections of all three controller styles boils down to unreasonable expectations. Please take those comments with a grain of salt. It's like intentionally buying an apple and then later complaining that its not an orange. This is a niche controller made for a niche market. If the way I describe it sounds good to you, then you will very likely enjoy it.

Excellent little controller.
This is my third 8BitDo controller. The others are Bluetooth (SF30, M30) but there's something nice and simple about this 2.4G version. The usb receiver makes it dead easy to connect and the connection is rock solid and I've noticed no lag. I'm using this with my Raspberry Pi 400 to play PC Engine/TG16, NES and Master System games. It's perfect for all those plus older arcade games and really anything with a simple 2 button control scheme. The turbo buttons are extremely useful in the type of games the PC Engine excels in: Shootemups. The build quality is excellent. It feels solid. My only criticism is that it's a little small but I haven't found it to be uncomfortable. The charging port is micro usb as opposed to usb-c but it gets the job done. The battery charges quickly and if this is like the others in the 8bitdo line I don't expect to have to charge again for weeks.

Simple and effective, as it should be.
Despite hearing about 8BitDo in the retro controller scene a while back, for whatever reason I was hesitant to try any of their line. Something about them just didn't seem like they would stack up to first party standard. That was an error of judgment.Since I had to settle for the PC Engine Mini over the extremely scarce of TurboGrafx Mini units, I was missing out on the turbo controllers the western counterparts got. In seeking to rectify that, this looked like the most trusted and cost feasible alternative, and that trust was well earned. The controller is easy to set up (just press the "Home" button when the dongle is inserted on the Mini), feels even more comfortable on the hands than the system's official controller, and has not given me any input lag or interference in my hours with it so far.

A very good controller with a few subjective issues.
The PC Engine Mini console had one flaw: the controller had no turbo buttons. This makes playing games such as Super Darius downright dreadful. There were officially licensed controllers with the missing button options, but those are pretty much discontinued and go for high prices. 8Bitdo released an affordable controller with turbo options! It is quite responsive and has a spiffy button dedicated for the menu/home screen. It’s quite good, but there are a few issues that may not be a big deal: the controller cannot be used with the cord, since the cord charges the controller. It’s strictly wireless. The manual doesn’t describe that you can adjust the turbo speed. You need to hold down select and the lower II and I buttons and wait for the blue light on the top of the controller to blink. The corresponding blinks mean the speed of the turbo button. If it’s one, you’re having fun. If it’s two, you’re almost through. If it’s three then you are ready, baby! One last thing, the 8bitdo controller is smaller than the original, so that may be a concern to some. Despite the nitpicks, this is a great and affordable option!

Love it for my Duo system
Great little controller for my Duo game system. The controller connects right up to the receiver when plug in play is enabled in the usb port. Quick fast charging and the little weight controller is the perfect size in your hand. The color is nice as well.

Perfect Controller, Highly Recommended!
Works perfect! Wanted a TG-16 mini as collecting for the actual system is an expensive endeavor, and the way I have my game room set up, wireless controllers make everything a lot easier. The controller itself is very well built. While I would have preferred the turbo switches that are on the official wired controllers instead of the buttons, it’s not a huge deal and you get used to them. If you have a TG-16 mini and want a wireless controller, or another controller in general, I highly recommend one of these from 8bitdo.
