We live in the South where fans are pretty much a necessity. I was very impressed with the design and appearance of the fan. The fan was extremely easy to assemble requiring only a couple minutes most of which involve reading the directions which were quite adequate. The fan puts out a very respectable air flow and the four setting for fan speed on the fan are easily enough. The fan is very quiet which is a big plus. The Smart control works fine although this is not really a big deal with me as the controls on the fan are sufficient and quicker to access than any App i've used. A couple of suggestions that I would make to the manufacturer include 1. Have a darker color available as an option 2. Make a similar model suitable for use on a desk. (This quiet fan would be great when video conferencing, my ceiling fan is not this quiet even on low) 3. Make a version for wall mounting. I found myself going back to Amazon to see what other products the produced. The smart feature would be much more useful with a wall mounted version. I would certainly recommend this product.

The fan is quiet, lightweight, and easy to assemble, but the smart remote is a joke, I never got the remote to work, the app is horrible, tried many times, but the fan never connects to wifi, and I can't see how much power the fan has left, The setup process is terrible, I think it would be easier if it supported Google Assistant or Amazon AlexaUpdategood customer service, after I responded to the problem, they replaced me with a new fan, and the new fan can be connected to the WIFI network and controlled by mobile phone.

The fan looks cool but the battery life is horrible, I know on the highest fan settings the battery life is shorter than on the slower settings but on high my fan would last about 5 min on a fully charged battery and that's after only a week of owning it. So I wouldn't exactly consider this a cordless fan, at least not for my needs. I never got the remote to work either, I tried it on my phone and my wife. The setup procedure is horrible and not intuitive and when you finish which takes forever, it doesn't work. If those things aren't a problem, get this fan, otherwise for the rest of us I recommend passing on this one.UPDATE: I was really surprised to find that after writing this review, Smartmi sent me a new fan! They believe I originally received a defective one. I have to say I am extremely happy with the new fan. It's able to connect to the app and the batteries seem to be doing good. This is a great fan!!!. I love that I can finally use all the features, and being able to control the fan from the phone is awesome!!! I didn't know what I was missing.

I did almost return this when I determined that in order to access the 100 different speeds, you have to use your mobile phone with an app that I couldn't access. I would definitely have preferred a simple remote control. The great thing about this fan is the low noise level. I bought it to use on battery out on our covered lanai but we are using it plugged in in our master bedroom because it provides a nice breeze on Level Two without more than a whisper of noise. The direct drive motor is responsible for this asset. I was told that this model would run for twenty hours on battery power after charging. I would dispute that.

Simple, elegant design, quite and if the power goes out it can still run for hours. Bought one at first, liked it and bought another one. For its size not meant for bigger room or living room. But will do the job with style. Have not used the remote wifi app thingy, may do that later on…What is not even a negative really so far is the power cable. Just a little short, just a little, could use another foot.

I feel like I paid a little much for the fan. It is quiet and gives a good breeze, but the lack of a remote is annoying. You have to open the app to do adjust any settings and the app can be finicky at times. I also believe a thermometer should be inside any fan this pricy. It would make some amazing automations.Pros:- Wireless battery.- 100 Levels of adjustability.- The natural mode is a great ambient feature.- It's decently strong and way quieter than my other fans (even at max speed).- Multiple oscillating angles.- Metal pole and strong premium plastic.- Ability to mute the tone.- Assembly took 5 minutes.Cons:- Lack of remote.- You have to unplug it before moving.- Low automation options.- App can be a little annoying to use.- The size of the fan is a little small and could use another foot or two (Mine came in a massive box as well).Note: I was not able to connect the fan to 5GHz wifi, only 2.4GHz.

UPDATE: The company contacted me and offered to send (at no charge) an improved fan that corrected what had made me return the first fan. I accepted, impressed that they were so responsive to improvement. It arrived as well packaged as ever. It was just as easy to assemble. But this time there were controls on the fan and a remote included. No more reliance on a smart phone app. The remote isn't as intuitive as it could be and the instruction booklet seriously needs a rewrite by someone well versed in English. That said, this fan is out on our deck fanning its little heart out. Glad they improved it. Highly recommend this versionFan arrived in great shape, looked good and went together easily. From there on was a never ending nightmare trying to get the technology to work (and lacking a remote, one cannot operate the fan without the app working on a smart phone). A dozen attempts of differing strategies (including calling tech support) failed again and again. Mind you, we have the latest phones and the latest know-how for using them and this still ended up a no-go. Good thing it was so easy to assemble since that made it so easy to disassemble, box up and return. Smart isn't smart if it won't work.
