I was looking for a lighting kit that is easy to set up/tear down and this kit fits the bill. It has battery capacity, which is super nice for shooting on location. As a person whose last lighting kit was all stupid expensive incandescent light bulbs, I so appreciate the durability and light weight aspects of this kit. All around it is a great lighting kit for a great price.

These lights are perfect, unless you wanna shell out big boy bucks for big boy lights these are the lights you need (and even if you did have the money to be honest I don’t see any reason not to use these). You can use a included wire to power these or do like I did and just buy a few batteries, and yes the batteries last a LONG time. It comes with color gels (which aren’t really gels but a hard plastic) and they work great. The soft box is easy to set up and does a great job of diffusing. The stands are on the cheaper side but the thing is they aren’t holding a ton of weight, so I’m okay with it. Why are you still reading hit the buy button go! The product is exactly as advertised. I got a discount voucher, which increased the value greatly. It is definitely built for price. It is not what you would call high grade industrial. It is made for light duty.The product works, and the functionality is a great value for the money. However, if you are going to be using this day to day, you will probably want to invest in something more robust. It is definitely made for "light use" The LED's are bright, and are as advertised. However the housing, the soft box supports, and so forth are quite flimsy.If you are going to buy this -- buy it when it is on sale. DO NOT PAY FOR RETAIL. When it is on sale you'll get a very good value for the money.I purchased this to retire my fluorescent soft boxes that I purchased years ago. The big difference is that my old fluorescent soft boxes were made of metal and compared to these could take quite a pounding.The good: The quality of the lighting.The bad: Flimsy construction.Overall: A value product.

I needed to improve my studio lighting so gave the neewer softboxes a try to see if they could produce better lighting. I was highly impressed with the results and after setting it up one time, I was able to set it up with no issues thereafter. It's a great value for the price. I really like how all the parts easily fit into the carrying case. That comes in handy. Overall great product for any type of indoor photography!

Great Value, all items included in this set are sturdy, well made and for this price it is a really great buy. This was purchased as a gift for my daughter, she is still in the process of setting up her studio. She loves to use Neewer items as they hold up well. She loves that it came with a remote which can be controlled wirelessly, making it easier to use. The light itself is amazing which she said would make for great video lighting but she uses it for pretty much everything.

Neewer has done it again! If you’re looking for affordable lighting, this is your best bet. LED’s are BRIGHT. And the adjustable temp is actually really accurate to true temp. I set the lights to 3500k and I used a light sensor to check them and it read 3499k. The stands are pretty cheap, but they get the job done. Longer power cords, and a nice travel case! My only minor complaint is the soft box assembly. It’s kinda tricky the first time, and not ideal if you’re in a hurry. Other than that I really love these things and it’s a total win in my book.

Originally I had a product failure. One light was working and the other wasn't. I was pissed as I had a deadline to meet and this threw off our timing. But to my surprise, the company was swift to communicate, consistent in their response and I was able to get a product that works in a good amount of time.As far as the product. My shoot came out great. The lights and set up is super easy. User friendly. Worth the price and tons of options for anyone just getting started with photography. But honestly the customer service won me over!I will order again from this company because of that!

Ok, this has "it all". Variable brightness, variable color temperature, battery options and a remote. I'm using it for product photography/glass and it works quite well. As others have mentioned, the light boxes are both thin material and a little harder to assemble. Mainly because you're bending rods to get the tension needed to correctly form the material. But if you're like me and you're going to leave them built, it should be fine. One of the light stands arrived with a bend in the flimsy metal, but it's not affecting usability so I'm not going to bother exchanging it. Just be aware that even with a perfectly shipped box, products may arrive damaged. Only used them for a few days, but so far they've worked well. No issues with either LED via batteries (bought separately) or the included power cables. For the price, this is a nice introduction to lighting gear.
