Fantastic Filament – Smooth Prints Every Time!
Fantastic Filament – Smooth Prints Every Time!I absolutely love this filament! It prints beautifully with consistent results, and I’ve had zero issues with clogging or stringing. The quality is top-notch — layers go down smoothly, adhesion is excellent, and the finish looks professional. I've used it for everything from detailed miniatures to larger decor pieces, and it performs great every time. Definitely one of my favorite filaments to work with. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants reliable, high-quality prints! I have order more I recommend this filament

If you need a whiteish stone look, this is your filament
I got the marble, and this stuff is GOOD. If you're printing something that needs to look like marble, this is the stuff. 100%. From 3 feet away I literally wouldn't be able to tell you it's not real stone.

Fossil gradient looks great
Very nice looking filament. I would like to see this type of rock blend be less shiny however. I was a tad surprised by how shiny it is, but it isn't overbearing like a silk, probably just a really nice virgin resin is all. As others have reported, I also had to bypass my AMS and use this material through the rear direct feed option for my Bambu P1S/AMS (other filaments from AMOLEN have the same issue; I've had to disassemble my AMS over the wood materials breaking too). Honestly it's fine because I don't imagine using this in a multicolor print however it's good to know about beforehand. Gorgeous material though, like all their stuff.

Best printing Wood PLA i've used
very good wood filament, but it's only 15% wood, which makes it print very well, but it doesn't have that home depot lumber aisle smell some wood filaments have

Great Print Quality, But Stained My Build Plate
I’m giving this filament three stars mainly because it stained my build plate. I didn’t see any warnings in the description about potential staining or damage. I followed the recommended settings exactly, yet it still caused damage. The filament had a wood-like smell when printing, which was unusual but interesting. Print quality was solid, I’d rate it 9/10, though that may depend on individual settings.Color-wise, the listing showed more of a burgundy tone, but what I received was a reddish-brown. Overall, it’s a unique filament, but I haven’t used it again due to the plate damage

2 Spools, major color difference
I give it 5 stars because it works flawlessly in my MK4s. I leave this review to mention how I printed a LOT of panels using the AMOLEN Dark Walnut Wood PLA. Then the spool ran out. So I bought another spool. The color was so different I had to toss out the original panels I printed and reprint them. The new spool worked flawlessly, but what a pain. I thought the color might be close, but it was way different.

Extremely inconsistent
I am not new to 3d printing and not new to wood filament. I've had great luck with hatchbox and sunlu printing large projects from both. The wife wanted 12 decorative pieces made for a project of hers and really wanted a darker wood filament. I tried to talk her into hatchbox but she just didn't like the lighter color and definitely didn't want the bother of stain.....so we bought this. One spool at first...it printed well enough and I believed I could get the profile tuned so we ordered 5 more. I have never had a filament this inconsistent. It's over extruding then under extruding in the same print and forget about a spool change...you have to treat it like a new filament you've never used before. You have to watch it constantly and with these prints 14 hours long...that is simply exhausting. I've turned flow up and down 5% during prints to keep it somewhere even close to well tuned. Keep in mind, I'm printing the exact same model 12 times...each taking nearly half a spool of filament. 300x300x14mm means lots of time to sit and watch extrusion....and through 12 of them I could not get the flow consistent. It's just all over the place. The previous review I read that called it finicky...is an understatement. The color is great, adhesion excellent, zero clogs or anything remotely like one but my god...what a pain in the butt. Changing spools mid print is an absolute no. Not only is the color inconsistent but so is the sheen so you absolutely see the difference from any angle or light. For reference I print with a CR-10V2 using a Hemera direct drive, volcano with .6mm nozzle on this project. My typical filaments are PETG, Nylon and polycarbonate for functional parts and PLA for daughter's playthings. This printer runs flawlessly whether its carbon fiber polycarbonate, nylon or PLA....but I just can't get the Amolen wood to perform. Most of my printing is 500g nylon parts and I click print and walk away. More often than not I'm out of town while the printer is running for 26hours making those parts and I return to a perfect print every time. I have total confidence in this machine....except with this filament.During the week where I went through these 6 spools, I did have twice where the filament jammed that I witnessed. Not a clog, the nozzle was fine...the filament hung up going into the Hemera. The Hemera has dual hardened gears and they pull like a train so while there was clicking and underextrusion.....the Hemera won the battle in both cases. Did it happen more often than I witnessed? It likely did, but I was sitting there for two of them. I believe that is another symptom of the inconsistency issue. The filament diameter in those instances was too high to feed through the reverse bowden. Not acceptable at all. Filaments costing half of this print perfectly on this printer....I am not impressed Amolen. It's pretty easy to see these issues when you go straight through 6 spools like I did this week. The printer never shut off, just one part after another requiring constant tweaking. Flow was as low as 81...and as high as 90. That is just ridiculous. My other profiles never change...month after month Zyltech's PETG just flows through at 93 on the flow...and is perfect every time...at $16 a spool.
