Awesome product. Connected to Apple Homekit without issues and the app works great. Also purchased the matching outdoor enclosure (shown in photo) and mounted it in my garage. Just be sure your Wi-Fi is in range to avoid connection headaches. Nice to see they included an ethernet port on the side. Even got an $80 rebate via the EPA's WaterSense website. 5 stars.

I have had my 12-zone Yardian Pro about a month now. Right out of the box it was simple to setup and easy to get started. Now about the programing...you can choose to set it up manually by choosing a duration and start time for each zone, or take some time to input a bunch of data for each zone, like plant type, soil type, slope angle, sun/shade, type of sprinkler heads or drippers, flow rate for heads and drippers, and choose your local NOAA radio weather station. The Yardian will automatically calculate desired soil moisture, monitor local weather conditions and forecasts, including rain amounts, rain chances, humidity, wind, sky cover, etc., and then build a model for the amount of water needed by each zone to optimize soil moisture and water usage. It then determines run times for each zone and builds a "smart" schedule which can be interrupted/delayed by conditions like a recent rainfall threshold, precip probability, or manual hold periods. You can also integrate it with Apple Home Kit to manually start or stop zones using Siri. In a word, "slick." So, whether you prefer simple or complex, this could be the best smart irrigation controller you can buy.UPDATE 10/2023: The Yardian Aeon Matrix smart irrigation controller easily shaved hundreds of dollars off my water bills this past summer while optimizing soil moisture for each zone in my yard. Impressive.

We have a medium sized planted yard that we enjoy very much. Automated sprinkler schedule is a must. I use HomeKit to automate many home routines. The Yardian Pro has its own iOS application that allows very easy programming. Smart programming options react to many environmental considerations. I own 2 units that each control 8 sprinkler circuits. I receive notifications on my phone when the system runs. One of my units recently experienced a connectivity issue after many hours of use. The technically oriented Customer Service team got right on it and provided me with a replacement immediately. Thank you Joseph and your fine team for great service.

Update: I have changed my review to 5 stars. The support folks reached out and provided an updated power supply and it has been working flawlessly since doing that.They've made updates to their app / controller to make it much easier to program the zones in the order I want them to be - Dog can go in the back yard when its time in the AM because I get that zone setup first or last!Also they have shown a way to work around Apple HomeKit limitations leveraging other easy to use Home automation apps. I have been extremely happy with this product, a previous "Smart" controller I had isn't as good as this one.Previous (since resolved):Product works great… when it is getting power. I’ve isolated the problem to the poorly made power supply. Full details of that in the picture. Kinda sad because otherwise this is a great product. To get it back working I just disconnect power cord from the poorly made power supply, and eventually the green light of that will come back on. Not exactly a routine I’d recommend to anyone.Note: unplugging power to the Yardian control unit does absolutely nothing for my problem, I have tried just disconnecting power there with no results, but just removing power from the supply will resolve the issue.

I don't typically write amazon reviews but this product literally burnt all the solenoids in my 6 zone irrigation system and now I have to spend hundreds of dollars to replace them. I would stay away from this product

We love being able to tell Siri to water different sections of our yard...when we want them watered!Our old sprinkler controller had a remote control, and we never set the timers because we didn't need to. We simply hit a button on the remote to water a zone when something needed watering. To us, having watering set on timers just wastes water here in the desert.With the Yardian Pro, it's even easier because we can just tell Siri to water a specific zone whenever we want. But, you can also easily set up watering schedules from your iPhone or whatever device you use to control Apple HomeKit. And, we were able to name the zones "front drip", and "back drip", and "back grass", etc., instead of having to remember what zone number was what area of our yard.Connecting the Yardian Pro to wifi was a bit difficult, but I was successful on the third attempt. One complaint about the Yardian Pro (and some other smart devices that work with Apple HomeKit) is that you can't go to the app to do a reset if the device stops responding to wifi...you have to go to physical unit to do the reset. There's probably some technical reason for this, but we want to be able to control EVERYTHING from the comfort of our house...without standing outside in the blazing sun and heat to do a wifi reset. This is the only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5.
