8" Smooth Foam Craft Ball - Polystyrene (Not Styrofoam) - Rare - 1 PC

I bought these for a costume (old-timey barbells), and they worked sufficiently. I wanted to connect them with a dowel and spray paint them black. Connecting them went swimmingly, hot glue held up well, but they didn't hold very well against the spray paint. When spraying them, the foam started to disintegrate under the wet paint and was never truly covered by the paint. This worked fine for my project, it just made it look really old, but I would not recommend buying these if you need to paint them or will be using them with any kind of moisture, just in case.

I am making paper flower balls for my wedding and Styrofoam is sooooo expensive. I found this online and it is way cheaper than Styrofoam and works just as well if not better. The shipping of my order was so quick, I didn't expect my order to come so soon. I would recommend this product as an alternative to Styrofoam and would definitely order from this place again!

Great product. Tolerates hot glue better than styrofoam.

Used this as the "skull" for a Muppet-type puppet. Worked really well, and not nearly as fragile or messy as I was expecting a foam ball to be (I'm used to the regular Styrofoam that's always kind of crumbly and comes apart all over the place.)

Became the sun in solar system project for child. Worked well

I'm sorry to say I was sorely disappointed by this product. I ordered 2 of them. Neither was 8", and they were both different in diameter, about 7.5". Also the surface is not "smooth" and had a few dents (from shipping or storage?). I have purchased direct fro smoothfoam before, and these foam balls are nothing like the real deal.
