These shelving units are much better made than expected - with a welded steel frame and solid MDF shelves, they are much sturdier than your typical flat-pack Amazon furniture, especially for the price.I did have some nicks and scratches on parts, and one drawer bottom panel arrived cracked (and it's not worth the hassle of a return).As other people mention the instructions are TERRIBLE. If you struggle with Ikea furniture you do not want these. Entire steps and parts are omitted from the assembly instructions but it's easy enough to figure out of you're handy. Took 90 mins to assemble by myself.Overall recommended and would buy again.

It looks good but it took some work to put together. The instructions were a bit off so you had to figure some steps out yourself (ex one step had you place two “2” pieces but they only gave you one and you only needed to place the one, and they wanted you to screw into the metal of the unit that didn’t have places for a screw to go) other than that, it was simple to put together. The drawers are a bit finicky to put in at first and had to be slammed but once in, they slide it in our but are a bit hard to close at times. Would I buy again? Probably not. But it looks nice and it was simple to build alone as a 5’ woman with no muscle strength lol.

I'm very happy with the 2 bookcases I bought. It's a very well designed, sturdy kit. The only minor downpoint I found was the instructions. They could have been a little more user friendly. The drawer box assembly step could have been explained with a little more detail. That's a very minor point and I highly recommend this bookcase.Good job.

This is fantastic! I've never been happier with the quality of a piece of furniture like I was with this one. The entire structure when completed is fantastically sturdy; I doubt I need the wall hooks at all. The drawers, while a little stuff to open, work just fine (I did not add the bars for folder hanging, since it will just be a general drawer for knick knacks.) Each shelf feels sturdy, the quality of the material that coats it feels great compared to cheaper shelf brands I've bought.A note for those building it. I was a bit confused by step 3. I flipped the structure upside down and put the very most bottom piece in, and then installed the walls for the drawer shelves after. I found that much easier because I was confused by what holes I was suppose to use.

Positives: Came with all parts (and extra screws) well packaged and identified. Very solid when built. Good finish on all parts.Negatives: Item is mostly black and only has wood grain on drawers. In defense of the product, it is as picture but take a good look at the picture before buying. I did not and that is my fault. Directions could have a little more description. They only have pictures and if you don't pay real close attention, the drawers may be put together upside down and have to be taken apart to fix. It looked bigger in pictures but that is why they give you the measurements.Overall I give it a good rating by not the highest due to size and wood grain. The company that did the pictures for the ad gets 5 stars. Would be better if the shelves were wood grain.

This shelf was fairly easy to build, and the sturdiness at the end was worth any of the minor issues I had. Definitely happy with this purchase and I feel it is worth the price. Large amount of average quality screws and other hardware, all of which included spares.

Update: this company did an excellent job correcting the problem in a timely manner. This is a very study, stable, attractive file/shelving unit. The directions were exceptional...mostly. do not tighten things up all the way till you get part #11 in place. I am a 64 year old 100# woman and using common sense put it together totally by myself. But I do have alot of country common sense and am not the typical 64 year old woman.They put the leveling feet on the wrong end on one side piece. There is absolutely no way to remove and switch it to the proper side. I a. Being told a 2-3 MONTH wait for a replacement piece. Or a week wait for a total exchange. If it is here in 7 days. And if there is no additional cost or hassle to me, and if it goes together properly I will revise my review.

It arrived in the box with no damage. There are slight chips and scrapes but nothing too noticeable. I little tough to put together but after I got past the bottom, it was simple. Very happy. The only thing is there is a gap from the main piece and the first drawer. Looks a little crooked. But could be builder error.
