OK for the price, build quality could definitely be better
These stools arrived very well packaged and were fairly easy to assemble. The quality of the product is on par with the price, meaning mid to low quality. The seating cushion is extremely hard and the wood terminations are very rough. The cuts seems to come short in several sections and the trimming was rather cheap looking with paint covering them up somewhat. I decided to keep them as they were not going to be detail inspected by anyone visiting but if you are looking for top quality furniture, these should not be your #1 choice. For the price they are OK.

Nice chair
Easy to put together, sturdy, looks good! Unfortunately for me, it's too tall for my kitchen island ... poor measuring on my part! Remember to account for a least a foot of clearance from the surface of the seat to the underside of the counter, unless you have really skinny thighs :)

Great price, good quality
I spent a lot of time searching for 29" padded bar stools with backs. Some reviewers on other sites said the instructions were hard to follow but I didn't think so. I separated all of the hardware first and it was easy to assemble after that. To prevent the stool from being wobbly, don't tighten the legs all of the way when attaching them to the seat base. First stand up the stool on all fours, adjust the front legs so they are stable on the floor, then finish tightening. Stools are pretty comfortable, but we had basic wooden bar stools before so this is a huge step up for us. The only part that was difficult for me to attach was the cushion. I had to be pretty forceful with the screws but eventually my husband just used the power drill. The stools look great and so far we love them!
