Steel Conical King Pin Lock for Trailers and Rvs

I purchased this for my RV because it would be so easy to steal. It fits very well with my lube plate installed. The lock and keys are not cheap or of a common design. I am confident that thieves would pick easier targets when this lock is installed. It is easy to use and very well made. Comes with 2 keys. There are cheaper king pin locks but after some research, this one is the clear choice. I like to do things right the first time. A hundred dollar investment to protect an RV worth tens of thousands is well worth it.

very seldom use it but when we do, it works perfect

It was for my company's trailers that I drop when I go home. I used it about once a month or once every two months when I go home. Last month, I got it out of my side box of my truck, to attach to the trailer kingpin, and the whole locking assembly fell out of it's hole, and won't stay in, whether it's in the locked, or unlocked position. I wouldn't buy this again, and not worth the money. I don't know if this lock is defective or what, but I noticed that it wasn't locking right, when I first got it. At first, I thought it was just me. I've used all kinds of kingpin locks over the course of 40 plus years, and have never seen the whole locking assembly fall out of it's hole.

8 lbs of solid steel. Pick resistant curved key. Now thats what I call a lock.Not one of those cast aluminum types, this thing would stand up to a serious bad guy with a bag of tools.

You have to always wiggle the key for it to go all the way in

This King Pin lock works very well. The only problem is the effort required to release the lock is a bit excessive. However, I expect the lock mechanism to function better the more it gets used. Still, it's a worthy investment.
