Balaclava Ski Mask - Winter Face Mask for Men & Women - Cold Weather Gear for Skiing, Snowboarding & Motorcycle Riding

I have a at least 6 balaclavas that I have accumulated over time but I have not been satisfied with their use under my motorcycle helmet. Some are too thick making the helmet tight, some have a small eye only opening that covers the nose and mouth, a feeling I cannot tolerate, and several are too tight without the helmet making them unwearable under a helmet. I have been using an expensive motorcycle specific that has nice material for under the helmet but is too bulky in the neck area. This balaclava has all the qualities I was looking for: thin material that fits comfortably under a proper fitting helmet, not tight, open face, not too bulky in the neck area and is very small for packing.If you are looking for these qualities in a balaclava give it a shot. It works for me.

The quality of this mask is very good. My low rating is because it will have to be VERY cold for me to be able to wear this running. The material is not dry fit like most mask, gators or caps I usually wear in the winter. It is a thicker material and I don't think i would make it more than a mile even in 10 degree weather without getting too hot.For someone who would be outside but not active on a cold day this may be a great product.

Used this product this past weekend skiing in NH, it performed admirably. The material is thick and soft but breathable. I have a huge head (7 3/4 fitted hat) and just a huge pumpkin face, but this fit perfectly. My wife tried it on and it worked for her too (she prod has 7 1/2 head but much smaller face). It fits well under a ski helmet. I use a Smith Variance with not much room to spare but the balaclava did not make my helmet too tight. It stayed dry over the course of a 6 hour ski day (it wasn't raining or anything, but I thought I might sweat or something- must be breathable) Color is a dark grey, almost black- goes with the rest of my gear. Price was awesome too, I think less than $10 shipped when I bought it using Prime. Only critique is that the little emblem (mountain graphic) is peeling off after one use, but I doubt many people would care about that decoration. I'm buying another one.

For running in cold weather, this does a great job keeping the face and neck warm. The material is very stretchy, so it is comfortable to pull the nose/mouth mask portion to under the chin if needed. The material is pretty easy to breath through. It is also nice that it covers the neck and I do not have to deal with an awkward scarf. It looks pretty funkey, over the hair, so I find I need a hat or hoodie to hide that, but when your running in weather that requires this kind of protection, your probably not very concerned about your 'looks'. I used it at a temp of about 9F with 10 mph winds. Overall, I really recommend this for running in.

Haven't used a lot, so not sure if it will hold up. Seems fairly well made. Fit is a little loose so it shifts quite a bit when you put on a motorcycle helmet. Hard to adjust once helmet is on, so have to start over if it moves around too much. It's really thin, so it's more of a wind break than a neck warmer. I put this on first, and then a neck warmer because my neck warmer gets pushed down by the helmet. This balaclava covers that open spot very well. I think it's a good value.
