The Painted Cake: Transform Cakes, Cookies, and Cupcakes into Edible Works of Art

I purchased this as a gift for my sister in law that has a bakery business. I have to admit with my art background I fell in love with maybe baking again sometime in the future..as I used to do all her pastry when she had her store front..a very simplistic..{and challenging also} and creative book..excellent instructions even if you are just starting out..start with cupcakes and move onto cakes... The cakes such WOW factors..the garden themes the butterflies I am sooo in love

Amazing artwork shows step by step directions, currently practicing on paper before trying on cakes. Not a big fan of frosting flowers or modeling chocolate or pressed out designs on fondant unless I made the fondant. This is beautiful and much more edible?

The author is my first "cake hero". I have a real affinity for her creativity since I am an artist, also. I put her up there with Maggie Austin, Whimsical Bakehouse, and Sylvia Weinstock. All different styles, but masters of their ceations.

It arrived ok..just not a fan. Showed pics and instructions for a way advanced cake decorator- and not even good ones

Gorgeous, inspiring book. Excellent directions, well photographed steps. My niece has created several designs with the techniques involved.

Das Buch ist echt toll! Ich male schon sehr lange auf Fondant, konnte aber durch dieses dennoch etwas dazulernen. Außerdem ist es wirklich schön gestaltet und die vorgestelleten Projekte sind unglaublich schön!Es wird sehr gut auf die Basics beim Malen auf Fondant eingegangen und auch interessante "neue/anregende" Ideen vorgestellt.Absolute Kaufempfehlung, sowohl für Anfänger als auch für Fortgeschrittene.
