Much better thank you Ms Feehan 😉
I enjoyed this latest instalment of the Dark Carpathian series much more than the last few where i, along with many other fans have been disheartened with the endless sex scenes, hardly any proper story and boring repetitive padding to just fill pages. There was still a lot of repetition but it didn't irritate me half as much as in previous instalments as the story telling was so much better thankfully. Ferro turned out to be a great character and perfect for his lifemate I am pleased to say and we were given hints at future storylines plus it was nice to catch up with a few familiar characters. A definite improvement on on the last few and I am hoping that this series is getting back in track and can become the wonderful stories we have all loved from the start, fingers firmly crossed ! Who will be next I wonder? The hints suggest Josef but who knows, I am tentatively looking forward to it which is a vast improvement from the last few 😊

Love the story, hate the wasted space.
Am so 'in' to the Carpathian stories, that I literally read whole books in single sittings, unable to delay reaching the resolution of the conflicts between both of the main characters and between the good Carpathians and the evil vampires. The story of Elizabeta was always going to be one I was unable to delay reading, and it was well worth the wait. BUT I am disappointed to see that the appendices are now taking up the last 20% of my total number of pages. If I went through and removed all the Carpathian words, chants, and appendices, I wonder how big the book would actually be.

Not worth £9.99
Having read the entire series i was hopeful that this might be a turning point after reading some of the reviews but whilst it was ok it was very repetitive to the point i found myself skipping through bits as I was bored with the endless relationship sex bits we get it they are lifemates move on with the story without adding pages of the same sex scenes just to pad out the story. It's very anticlimactic i don't get the same sense of thrill i did with the first books. I remember thinking at book 5\6 this is going to be repetitive and boring but Feehan changed it up and surprised me and it kept things interesting. Unfortunately i haven't felt that way about this series for a while now the last book I loved was skylars as it was so different. I will prob still buy the next book but I won't be in any hurry and I will be waiting until they are much cheaper .

Fabulous!
It feels like one of the original books, focused more on the development of the characters and romance. Still plenty of action but not overwhelming sex. One of my favourite feehan books!

been fan from the beginning
THe story in this book is great and the characters are great. It really was good story the problem is that by 40 percent in i was already fed up with the endless sex scenes. Its getting like this every book and its becoming boring and repative the actual story is great though. could do with less sex though we really dont need to know all the things the lifemates like to do to please each other.

This book sums up what a partnership is
Though I struggled to relate to the experiences of the characters, what I could not fail to see was how the story demonstrates exactly what a relationship is supposed to be like. Working together in a partnership to meet each others needs and ensuring the happiness of each other, even if you both need to make some comprises on the way.

Much Better
I truly loved the Dark series. That is until the last seven or so when they read more like sex manuals.Dark Song is much better, an actual story line and normal characters. Still has sex scenes as expected, but they no longer takes pages and pages to trudge through. I was getting bored to tears and had decided to abandon this author. Happy to say after this book she seems back on track.

Another twist with the a Dark series
She has been a captive for centuries with no choices. He is centuries old who had to lock himself away to stop him turning. He worries he is toppled fashion to help her. She worries she will, never have the confidence not to be dependant on him. He will help her become the powerful woman the people need her to be . I loved it
