Has everything for collecting, filtering and storing water. I am very satisfied with this product.

I attached this to an MSR filter inline and it worked amazing, not sure if I trust the off-brand life straw. The bag was well made and sturdy. The strap held a full bag of water hanging up while it filtered multiple times without issues.

Purchased this for a primitive island camping trip-no water, no electric, and we kayaked in so the idea of carrying bottled water for 4 people for several days was too much weight and space. This worked great-my friends were a little hesitant to drink “lake water”, but there was no odd taste or smell and they were shocked as to how well this worked.

This has everything you need to filter water to make it safe for drinking. There's a bag to collect water, the straw, and all the fittings needed to make it work. It also comes with a convenient carrying bag for everything to make it easy to put in your BOB or carry with you camping and hiking.You can use the straw by itself, or use the bag, and have it filter automatically for you. The 6l water bag is an important item because it means you have a way to collect water right with the kit at all times. This way you don't have to carry something extra for collecting water.Overall this is a great kit with multiple options for filtering water. Well worth having for emergencies.

I believe main technical component of this gravity drip-filter system is a hollow fiber polypropylene membrane with a secondary coconut activated charcoal segment claiming 1500L useful life within a 32 to 90-degree Fahrenheit temperature range (filters using this type of technology are rendered unsafe if frozen or subjected to extremely rough handling).Sealed/Zip re-close filter bag with Five (5) Year stated shelf-life contains personal straw type water filter with outlet closing cap and neck loop retainer, drinking extension tube; backwash syringe, 2 small aluminum carabiners, semi-rigid plastic drinking bag with pop-open screw top, and paper instruction sheet. Filter unit can optionally screw directly on standard 28mm threaded soda bottle container. Packaging states 99.9999% waterborne bacteria removed and 99.9% waterborne protozoa removed are “Best Choice”, but I find nothing in any of the printed material that references approval labs, International standards/certifications, or otherwise asserts the equipment provided delivers that level of actual filtering performance.Reusable nylon carry bag organizes kit contents in approximately 11-inch-long x 6-inch-wide x 2 ½-inch-deep form factor with unused weight of approximately 12 ounces. 48-inch to 28-inch adjustable nylon hanging strap. 38-inch-long water supply tube also included.While I’m certain that this filter kit is greatly preferable to drinking untreated water from any questionable supply source, there’s not enough confirmation for me to use this as anything other than an emergency third-level back-up to a known reliable water treatment technology/supplier. Other than this concern, it’s a nicely packaged kit with seemingly good quality components.I hope you find my photos and comments helpful in your consideration of this water filter kit.
