Magnetic Phone Car Mount, Universal Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount Phone Holder with Cradle-less Smartphone for all iPhone and Android Devices

I wanted a low profile car mount and had previously purchased one of these:  Spigen Kuel A200 Car Phone Mount Magnetic Air Vent Phone Holder QNMP Compatible & Compatible with iPhone 7 / 7 Plus / 6S / 6S Plus / Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus / S7 / S7 Edge / LG / Nexus - Black The problem I had was that my vent would move vertically, and with the weight of the phone would just point down. It would then slip off after driving a bit. I had to hack together a bungee cord to pull the vent back, but even then the phone would fall if I hit a bump since the vent holding part was just slip on.This one actually clips down and holds tight, and the little arms prevent the vent from moving down (it still does, but not all the way, I wish the arms were adjustable). The magnet is strong, as is the hold on the vent, and now I don't worry about my phone flying down if I hit a small bump in the road.

I wanted a stand that wouldn't move around with my phone attached, This one has two leg stands that are supposed to prevent that from happening and I'm sure they would work great. However, the vents on my truck are vertical and the stand connects to them sideways. The legs do not touch the dashboard, so it still doesn't help keep my phone from moving.I gave it to my daughter, her car's vents are horizontal and it works fine on her car.The orientation of the car mount clip is not listed in the description and I thought it could be placed in either horizontal and vertical vents, but was wrong. Make sure you check your car's vents before buying this.It would be good if the mount clips could rotate to accommodate either type of vent.

Update: Changed review from 5 stars to 1.After having it for just under a year the swivel ball joint broke. I contacted the vendor Y-UZ to see what I had to do to replace/repair it under the 1 year warranty. Despite multiple messages through the Amazon contact system, I never heard back.Fortunately for me, Amazon stepped in and made things right.OLD review:Good strong magnet. Works great on horizontal vents. Also work well as a stand - for landscape AND portrait. I use it all the time as a stand.

I love this mount! I've tried at least 2 other kinds that were 1) not sturdy during sudden moves 2) fell apart after regular use 3) not as compatible with any phone 4) time-consuming to set up and use regularly. This mount solved all those problems for me! I'm so happy with it.I didn't want to permanently affix the magnetic plate to my phone, so I just slipped it between the phone and case as it came (without exposing the adhesive) and it works great! My phone case is flexible, and it has a thicker back because there is liquid and glitter in it. But it still works well! My moms phone case is more hard plastic and has crystals, etc, on the back, and the magnet works well if she does the same thing without sticking it permanently to the phone.

Great the best one so far, I use them in a Honda Fit, and a Dodge Durango.The way it attaches to the grill, and the little legs that rest on the a/c vent, keep it from falling out.The magnet is powerful and the phone does not slip.The metal plates are installed between the phone and the TPU case, the magnet is strong enough to keep a Oneplus 5 in place.

Love this car mount because its not too bulky. I'm a delivery driver so I take it off and on a lot. I have an otter box and even use the magnet on the hard case under the soft part of the case. Works great!Sometimes it will adjust because of the weight of my phone but it's not a big deal. Just wish it locked in place a little better.

My husband loves it, especially the clip with screw that goes into vent. I tried my large phone on it and it didn't fall off. Good product, thanks!

Worked great for a week with my iPhone 7+. Then the entire magnetic head began to vibrate no matter how tight the swivel ring & screws were. In week 4 the single, tiny screw holding the head to the body sheared in half and it fell completely off. It was $10 Junk. Perhaps it might work with an iPhone 5 or smaller.
