My first one arrived, broken in shipping. The seller was very understanding and sent another one promptly. The second package actually had two in it. One of them broke upon me trying to use it in my hair. Actually, it had a rough spot on it where it looks like the grain of the wood was of poorer quality. This part snagged on my hair, breaking it, and I was unable to insert it into my hair any further. So, I took it out and inspected it, and it was actually partway broken at the rough spot. The other is intact, and I think I can use it. I think the breakage problem lies in "knots" in the wood, and poor packaging. I think the person making these should pay very close attention to the grain of the wood, and be absolutely certain that it is as smooth as glass. Any tiny bit of roughness will break hair, and could also be a weak point in the fork. All this said, the seller did give me a free hair stick as well, and I like it. The seller seems very eager to make things right as quickly as possible, and to please the buyer.

I really love this hair fork. The wood looks beautiful yet it's not too large. It's pretty without being over the top feminine like some forks are. It's just subtle enough. I wear this to work in a professional environment. The curve is just right to hold all day, and it hugs the scalp so the prongs are not sticking straight out of my bun.I had to watch some youtubes on using hair sticks to get the hang of using this type of accessory. Once I figured it out, it stays all day. You have to trap the ends and drag along the scalp to the other side of the bun. And don't make it too tight or you'll get a headache. My hair is slightly longer than shoulder length but it is possible to use on shorter hair if you don't mind the ends sticking out. It's easy to randomly twist the hair around and come up with really pretty and unique ladylike updos. I love that I only have to use one thing to put up my hair, not an elastic and a million bobby pins. As such I feel it is less damaging to my hair and I seem to have less breakage.This came with a free gift...another fork in the same size, made of aluminum with a big rhinestone on it like others in this seller's shop. While I am not a huge fan of the style I really appreciate this gift and find myself using it very frequently. I use it to put my hair up in the shower if it's not wash day, or to put up wet hair. Or just hanging around the house. Wood should not be used in wet hair so the aluminum fork is a great alternative. It also feels very strong, like I could not accidentally break it. I wish the aluminum forks came in more varied styles, I would purchase more. Another use - I put my hair up in a basic bun when my hair is still warm from blow drying. I take it out right before I go on my way and it leaves a big bouncy wave.Well worth it.

Looks beautiful. But, if I get it tight enough to hold my hair, it gives me a headache. If I make it loose enough to not give me a headache, my hair slips out.

I LOVE my hair fork. I had never owned one before and was a little unsure of the price, but it was totally worth it. I have waist length curly but fine hair that rips and gets damaged easily. I have been using it for months and it is just so convenient and gentle on my hair. I keep it with me in my purse to use when needed. It doesn't catch or rip my hair like clips or ponytails do. It took me a few tries to get it right, but I get fairly secure and very comfortable buns with this. The seller even included a hand written note and a free aluminum fork to sample! The aluminum one is nice but a little harder for me to use, I think because it is straight unlike this which is nicely curved. Overall, I am so happy with this purchase and I hope to buy more from this seller.Edit in 2022: I still love this fork and I've been using it pretty much daily for years. I'm buying my third one right now. (First one I sat on one day and broke, second I seem to have lost 😞) I used to wear it to school and just casually hanging out, but nowadays I wear it for work everyday to keep my hair in a neat bun and out of the way. I've tried other brands as well, but this particular hair fork is perfect.

I am a hair stick aficionado, and have waist length, thick, fine hair, so I definitely put sticks to the test. I've experienced the worst of the worst when it comes to sticks (breaking in my hair, wood splintering and pulling out hair, etc.) so I'm always looking for better options. This hair stick has become my all-time favorite, and I hardly use my other hair sticks anymore.The length is perfect for a low-profile look, as the sticks don't stick out far past the hair it's securing. The two forks mean I can wrap all of my hair into a bun, and secure it all day long with only one item. This is my first curved fork, and I'm super impressed with how well it functions. The wood is treated very well for use in hair, and it's pretty obvious that this wood will never splinter. It has such a fine smooth finish, and appears to have been sealed for hair-friendliness.I am already starting to fear the inevitable day when I lose this awesome stick, so I'm buying one or two more right now. I highly recommend to both new and experienced users of hair sticks.

I'm new to hair forks, saw this and fell in love with it. The fork is beautifully crafted, smooth, lovely color that matches my hair; I like its simplicity and elegance. It takes a lot of practice to weave a hair fork perfectly, which I'm still getting acquainted to. My hair is past my shoulder blades, with a coarse wavy texture & currently a medium thickness, and this adequately holds up my hair. I have not had any slippage problems, but fine straight hair probably will. I did have to smooth out the points with a nail file just a little, as they seemed quite sharp.I purchased this with a 3-prong 4.5" ebony fork and the seller even threw in a free aluminum fork, (as if he knew red was one of my colors! Good choice) which I like a lot more than I would have expected. He also included a handwritten note and care instructions-- you can break a fork with user error, be forewarned. He takes a lot of pride in his work and stands by his product, which is great quality, so I will definitely buy again!
