There is plenty of information out there regarding the technical specifications of this camera. I'm not here to talk about that. I will say when I was really pushing it, it did overheat a couple of times and shut down on me. Keep the resolution and frame rate reasonable, when you're shooting a longer piece of video, and you won't run into that problem.As far as the camera itself; all I can say is that it's an absolute beast. During a couple of weeks in really rough terrain in the Karoo Desert in South Africa, it was constantly falling off the dash and rolling around on the floor in the Land Cruiser while we bashed our way over rocks and through impossible gullies. It fell out the door and bounced on the rocks. It got thrown in and out of vehicles, just in an outside pocket of my backpack. It soaked all of that up with no complaint. One of the reasons I bought this model was the replaceable lens cover. But after an extreme amount of abuse, the camera still looks practically brand new. It was very dusty and dirty so I rinsed it off in the kitchen sink and you can't tell I ever had it out of the box.Functionality is fine. If you've used GoPros in the past, I think you'll have no problems. It was a bit of a learning curve for me but it's pretty intuitive once you understand the menu structure of the operating system.Great camera. I wish I had a couple more!

Great video quality, huge improvement over the 7 Black that I also own. This camera is verified waterproof. Has some zoom but not much.

Excellent. Got this for my grandsons birthday several months ago. No issues at all.

I purchased this camera a month ago along with the media mod. When the media mod is connected, it does not connect to either of my MacBooks. This is frustrating while shooting have to remove the case every time. I contacted support and they told me that it was an issue with that media mod, and to order a replacement through Amazon. I did that and the second one does not work either.So I contacted GoPro support again and they told me that their technical team would look into it.Three weeks later, they still had not gotten back to me. So I contacted their support again. They told me that the message had NOT been passed on to their technical team.I asked if they could send me a free GoPro, because I just waited a month for nothing. They said sure and asked me to take a picture of the serial number and fill out some forms. After I did all that, I asked how the process would work, and it was not free. It was only a replacement. So they lied saying that they could give me a free one.The support is beyond horrible for GoPro. This is my first GoPro camera and it will definitely be my last.

This GoPro has been an excellent investment! We purchased it after a trip where we realized how useful a waterproof camera would have been. Since then, we've taken it on several trips, and it has done an amazing job capturing high-quality videos and photos underwater. We've also used it for recording road trips and drives.Unfortunately, we had an accident where the camera fell, and the back screen cracked. I reached out to GoPro support, and they were incredibly understanding. To my surprise, they replaced the camera for free, even though they didn’t have to. Their exceptional customer service has truly impressed me.I’ve purchased many accessories and will definitely be buying another GoPro (or more) in the future. Thank you for such a great product and outstanding support!
