Excellent!!
I recently purchased the Ergodyne N-Ferno 6823 Balaclava Ski Mask and I am very happy with it. I have been using it for skiing and snowboarding and it has kept me warm and comfortable even in cold weather. The mask is made from a wind-resistant fleece that blocks out the cold air, and it also has a hinged design that allows me to adjust the amount of coverage I need. This is great for when I am wearing a helmet, as I can just open the bottom of the mask to breathe more easily.I also like that the mask is very versatile. I can wear it as a full face mask, a neck gaiter, or just a face shield. This is great for different activities, as I can adjust the coverage depending on my needs. For example, I might wear it as a full face mask when I am skiing in cold weather, but I might just wear it as a neck gaiter when I am hiking in milder weather.Overall, I am very happy with it. It is warm, comfortable, and versatile. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality balaclava for winter sports or outdoor activities.

Nice snug fit and versatile design
I'm an amateur astronomer and I spend a lot of time standing around in the cold. As you may know, keeping your head warm will keep the rest of you warm but finding a good option that allows you to move around without something obstructing your vision is a challenge. Some hood "socks" are pretty bulky and slide around your head - but they do work very well. But having to push them off of your eyes each time as you bend over is quite a hassle. This hood solves that problem. Made well from good materials, it snugly fits against your skull and you can easily move it around. The best part is that once you locate it to where you want, it stays there. Yes, it really stays there until you adjust it again.I also like the design where you can choose how much of your face is covered. There are few nights when I have to use the "eye slit-only" feature , but it is nice to use in a pinch. The mouth screen "works" but it will dew up after prolonged use and may even freeze when the temperatures are really low.I really like this design. It is light weight and keeps the heat in, the two most important things to me for buying such head gear.Keep looking up!

Essential Cold-Weather Gear for Skiing Adventures
As an avid skier, I recently tried out the Ergodyne N-Ferno 6823 Balaclava Ski Mask during my ski season, and it proved to be a reliable companion on the slopes. This wind-resistant face mask with a hinged design added an extra layer of protection against the elements and enhanced my overall skiing experience. The hinged design of the mask is a game-changer. It offers flexibility to wear it in different ways, depending on the weather conditions and my comfort level. I could easily pull down the lower half when taking a break or adjusting my gear, without having to remove the entire mask. This feature also helps prevent fogging on my goggles, which is a common issue with traditional ski masks. The mask's wind-resistant properties are commendable. It effectively blocks out the chilling wind, allowing me to stay warm and focused on the slopes. The fleece lining on the interior adds a cozy touch, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods. The one-size-fits-all design worked well for me, providing a snug yet not overly tight fit. It easily accommodated my helmet without any discomfort or interference. While the mask did a great job overall, I did notice that it wasn't as breathable as I had hoped, particularly during more intense skiing sessions. This led to some condensation buildup, which isn't uncommon with similar face masks. In terms of durability, the mask held up well throughout the ski season. The stitching and materials seem sturdy and capable of withstanding the demands of outdoor activities.Overall, the Ergodyne N-Ferno 6823 Balaclava Ski Mask is a valuable addition to any skier's gear collection. Its hinged design, wind-resistant properties, and comfortable fit make it a reliable companion for cold-weather adventures on the slopes.Pros: Hinged design offers flexibility and prevents fogging Effective wind resistance keeps the cold at bay Cozy fleece lining adds comfort One-size-fits-all design accommodates helmets Sturdy construction for long-term useCons: Could be more breathable during intense activitiesIn conclusion, the Ergodyne N-Ferno 6823 Balaclava Ski Mask played a crucial role in keeping me warm and protected during my ski season. Its versatile design and solid performance make it a must-have piece of cold-weather gear for anyone hitting the slopes.

Great for winter running
Was looking for something to give me more coverage while running during the winter. While it is still early in winter and temperatures have only dropped to high teens here in the northeast, this was perfect. I've run with this on from high teens to high twenties and it did a great job of keeping the stinging wind off my face. The material is very comfortable, and while i was worried about running while breathing through one of these, it turns out it was fine. Breathing no issue. I ran seven miles wearing this in low 20's, windy weather and did not once think about how cold it was out. Just judging by how that run felt, I would easily endorse this down to the single digits. I'll reassess if needed on a day of high wind, single digit weather. For me, I can always bundle up enough to keep the rest of my body warm, the face was always my issue. This appears to have solved the problem and taken away all my excuses for not running outside in the winter! Great product, would highly recommend.

can't breathe through the nose holes
I can't use the product as intended. The nose holes aren't big enough to let in enough air to breathe. I uncover my mouth and use it that way. it keeps my neck and lower face warm however. If it had a better breathing mechanism then it would be 5 stars for me.

Great Warm and Thin!
I bought this for my ice fishing weekend and I must say I am impressed. I was skeptical when i received and saw how thin it was but it kept me very warm while outside on the ice. Also the fact that it has a hinged design is great. you can just turn it into a neck warmer when going inside somewhere quickly. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a thin and warm Balaclava.
