3D Printing Failures: How to Diagnose and Repair All 3D Printing Issues

I am a "senior" who decided to try 3D printing as a hobby. I wanted something that would be a mental challenge as opposed to a physical challenge that this 75+ body would likely object to. Because I had absolutely NO prior knowledge of the 3D printing subject area, I speculated that learning the appearance of a "failure" and how to correct it was likely fundamental to having fun with and moving toward good use of 3D printing activity.The book,"3D PRINTING FAILURES: How to Diagnose and Repair All 3D Printing Issues" gave me a great foundation for learning the correct way to approach the proper use of a small DIY (Do It Yourself!) 3D printer. I seriously question whether the book covers ALL 3D printing issues.Actual experience is likely the ONLY way to ACTUALLY learn to effectively utilize any 3D printer. However, this book certainly seems to have significantly reduced the learning time for me. Since the entire subject was completely NEW to me, I truly NEEDED fundamental and basic information with extensive and simple explanations which did not assume a lot of prior knowledge of the terminology and procedures. It is my opinion that this book supplies that need and desire for me. I recommend its purchase.

I was disappointed in this book because of the quality of the photos. All the photos were black and white, which is OK, but they were very poor quality and small. You could not see the detail they were expressing in the text. The cover of the book was in high quality detail and in color. They should have spent the money on the content.

Useful book - good content negatively impacted by quality of reproduction of screened B&W photographs during the Amazon on-demand printing. Identified the issue to the author and he immediately provided a remedy.

good to learn what not to do and to do when you begin dabbling it is not an easy to start guide so beware for the early entry novice you could easily need a beginners guide this is meant to help you understand how to set up a good quaility print if you can on a system that is advanced.

This book shows a very clear demonstration that the author is very experienced in the world of 3D printing. This industry has been taking off for some time, and the information in this book shows that Aranda is one of its pioneers. I would highly recommend this book to anybody new to the game - his years of experience will save you time, headaches, and money trying to navigate many of the speed bumps that come with the learning curve of 3D printing.

Good book and it does appear the author knows what he is talking about, but I rally wish it had some good color pictures. It doesn't. I know book publishers are cheap and don't want to spend a dime more than required, but that IS required here and this book doesn't have it. Still helpful, but could be MUCH better.

Nothing here that isn't already available on-line and the on-line images are much better than what's in the book.

excellent book to find out what is wrong with the way nit was printed

If you have a 3d printer then get this A4 size book. Paperback so is easy to use. Full of facts about subjects like Extrusion, Temperatures of bed and different materials. Some information is obviously available online, but it is more convenient to be able just to turn a page and find the answer or suggestion which this book does.

Not really in-depth. All the info could quickly be gleaned from YouTube/forums. But readable and good for a complete novice

This book had a lot of potential. I found the authors online instructions helpful, so I tried their book. I wanted to like this book. Unfortunately this book is poorly edited and a lot of the photos are impossible to make out. There seems to be some good tips in there, but the way it is laid out makes it a poor read.If they ever make an updated version of this book, with proper writing techniques and real photos, I would consider it.
