First things first, these are NOT RGB LED lights.They are 10 strings of 28 tiny LED lights that are the same colours as you go from top to bottom.For example the first 4 LED's on each of the 10 strings is purple, the next 4 red, the next 4 orange etc.It actually creates quite a nice light.The lights are very bright and have 8 different modes (mode 8 is all leds on). You can change the brightness.There is a remote control supplied and you can also use the button on the USB to change modes (off-1-2-3-etc back to off). The remote is useful if your USB is behind something (although you must have line-of-sight).Running from a USB @ 5V 1.5amp means these lights are very safe. (You will need a USB mains adapter, or a PC/Laptop/Tablet with USB ports as no adapter is supplied).My tip, as per the instructions, for installing them:-First get the thicker wire (with the hooks) laid out, with your 10 strings in coils (as packaged).If it makes it easier, do this on the floor.Hang your lights in position using the hooks and then carefully unwind each coiled string down, ensuring the end doesn't become entangled.Please, whatever you do, do not just let them drop because you will have a headache trying to untangle them.The string of lights is fragile, as it is thin copper wire so do treat them with care.My suggestion when it comes to packing them back up:- use an old cotton bobbin, toilet roll core(s), or something else small & cylindrical to wrap them (the strings) around. They will be much easier to deploy next time.Would I buy them again? Yes - if I required non-RGB LED lights.Would I recommend them? YesShould you buy them? These lights are lovely and perfect for what I wanted - to drop down the wall behind my TV. Once I figured out the knack to successfully unrolling them I did this quickly, without struggle. It didn't take as long as other reviews have suggested. I also doubled them up so they fit perfectly where I want.The only negative is that there is a slight buzzing when the lights are on, it seems to get louder the brighter the lights are.

The media could not be loaded.  They look brilliant when hung and flashing, remote works well, but my god. Absolute pain in the backside to install. I reckon the guy who invented these is sitting at home giggling to himself about all the poor suckers who bought them. World's best troll lol.

Got these to make my room feel a little more christmasy but I've kept them on even into the new year as they just bring a nice warm light and feeling to the room

The remote control was dead did not work so have to change settings by the switch on the lights so not good as we got them for this reason.

These are so beautiful very long when straight so I had mine kinda curled which in return looked even nicer

Lovely for Xmas

I used these lights for under my daughters bed for her reading corner. They looked so effective behind a curtain. They were easy to use and you can mold the wire to the length or pattern you want. The remote is easy to use. The 1 small snag I had is that if the receiver in the plug isn't in full view it will not pick up the signal from the remote. Other than that a brilliant product and bought a second lot for another bedroom makeover.
