First unscrew and remove the end cap from the lancing device. Use a new sterile lancet for each blood test. Push the lancet firmly into the lancing device ensuring it is fully inserted. Twist and break off the end of the lancet to expose the piercing needle. Replace the device end cap and turn the numbered collar to set the piercing depth (My device is numbered 0 to 5 - I use 3). Tension the device by pulling out the spring loaded plunger until it 'clicks'. Put the device onto your finger tip and press the side button to pierce the skin. A 'click' will be heard when the button is pressed.
