Brilliant mic, terrible build quality
I bought this mic for recording instruments.I used it with GarageBand on iPad an iPhone.Recording amps needs a little tweaking of EQ and position as it’s a vocalCondenser mic, it’s so sensitive and focuses in the upper frequencies which means bass frequencies are attenuated somewhat. It’s fantastic at capturing acoustic guitars, Dobro and vocals. But it’s moulded wiring is rubbish and failed. It no longer works. It’s something iRig need to sort out. Most of their products come with shoddy flimsy moulded wiring

Do not waste your money.
This mic is horrible. I bought it to use with Smule Sing and did not work at all. I used on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and a Iphone 7 and both phones it made a high screetch, and sounded very faitn on recording. Was really let down by this as I thought it would be fun. I returned it back, as it did not work.

Great for GarageBand
I use this to record vocals on my GarageBand song creations. The sound quality is not bad considering its price. Not quite pro quality but it only intended as a karaoke mic so is pretty good for that reason. When recording you do get a bit of pop especially when using words with the letter p. But this can be reduced by putting a sock over the mic acting as a make shift pop filter. Or you could just buy a pop filter if you not a cheapskate like me.The mic needs to be pretty close to you mouth to pick up your voice. This is actually a good thing because it means that it does not pick up much if any background noise which could ruin a recording. To get the best sound I found you need to hold it so the head is resting on your chin and angled at about 45degrees.

Kids love it. The 'everything is an extra' stuff is a bit annoying but there are plenty of free apps.
