More stylish than competitors!!
This clock is typical of Braun's styling, unfussy and great looking. The clock is easy to set up and the projection function is great as you do not have bright LED numbers lighting the room at night. We have not been able to continually lock onto the radio control feature as this is location dependant and therefore not guaranteed.

Great clock nicely made and looks stylish
Great clock nicely made and looks stylish. Works of uk mains plug and sets itself automatically however I have to move it around to get a strong signal.

Nice try at a quality product.
This item has the feel and look of quality about it - good quality materials and mouldings. At this price it should be.Pros: Very nice (and clear) clock face shows current time and alarm time. Being radio controlled the time is set automatically and will adjust to GMT and BST all by itself. Backlight can be turned off - it's too bright in the dark unless you want the room lit up(!) Projected image can be rotated in 90 degree steps and the head tilts (in one plane) with 4 brightness settings or can be turned off - just move your hand over the projector lens: a very neat touch! Alarm is effective the 'pips' get more insistent quite quickly - works for me... N.B. it's a single alarm only.Cons: Takes some experimenting to get a good projected image - if the surface is too close (less than 6ft) then it's more compressed and distorted than the maker's illustration. Pity that the backlight brightness cannot be varied.

Dim and not nice
Nice style. No problems until it was just over two years old and then the projector was unable to give an image on the ceiling (about 2m above clock) - the brightness is set to max and the lens is clean but the led bulbs are dim. I contacted Braun customer services and asked what the expected lifetime of the clock was. They did not answer my question but pointed out that LEDs have a limited lifetime and will fade with time. This is no doubt true but I have a much cheaper Oregon Scientific projector clock in another bedroom that is still projecting a bright image after eleven years continuous use. You could remember to switch the projector off each morning to eke out the LED life but that's an inconvenience. The fact that Braun seem to accept that the clock could be useless after just two years is totally off-putting.

Not up to Braun's usual standard
The comment made by Audiolad is still true. My clock arrived with a European Mains adapter not UK. I could use an EU/UK converter but that makes it bulky and does not look good and won't fit where I want to put it. Using it without the mains means that the clock screen is off during the night and when I pressed the on button I turned off the alarm... they are close to each other.

Excelellent Projection Clock
I bought this because I wanted a projection clock that was accurate, wasn't cluttered, and where the projection could be turned on with motion activation - ie by waving my arm in front of it. The projected time is very clear and sharp even without my specs, so if I need to check the time in the middle of the night I don't need to turn on the light or look for my specs.

Does what it says on the tin!!! Simple to operate without useless "add-ons". More importantly mine came with a UK plug which others have said isn't the case so maybe amazon have listened to the previous critisisms. Also I have had experience of RC clocks before and they do take a while to get the correct time. It doesn't mean the clock is faulty it must just be how the technology works. It does say in the instructions that the RC is best left to work overnight which is exactly what I did and in the morning it displayed the correct time. Maybe it just gets a signal every so often to adjust the accuracy. My previous RC clock never failed to adjust for BST either so I would gues this will be the same.

Projector is a gimmick
bought 2 of these in the past year and the projector has stopped working after a few months even though its only turned on at night. The clock is working fine but not worth the price .Not the quality one would expect with Braun.
