Good value and strong
The spool that was fitted to my strimmer ran out during first use this year. I got a season plus a bit out of it, so was happy with that. I looked at a local store which could only supply non branded wire on what seemed to be a flimsy reel.This is good value; the spool itself is. Strong plastic which fits the strimmer perfectly. I've had no problem with the line. I think it's rugged. My garden isn't perfect; there are stones and rocks along the edges and a lot of heavy duty weeds like dock, nettles and brambles. It cuts through with ease and the self feed function works well.

B&D Replacement Spool and Line
This is standard replacement line for many B&D current models. I find that the line seems to break fairly easily and therefore I go through a lot of this line. I have recently bought a non-manufacturer heavy duty replacement line which I placed on these spools and this seems to fair much better. I spent time constantly checking the strimmer to make sure that the new line was not damaging the strimmer and feel content. However, if you want a standard product that you know has been manufacturer tested then this is the one to go for.

IT IS ROBUST AND DOES THE JOB
Easy to fit, it is robust and slices through weeds etc with ease.

2mm strimmer line
2mm line for larger B&D strimmer - hard to find elsewhere. Quite expensive but lasts quite a long time.

Replacing the reel
How do I take the old reel out , the reel turns a little one way but it will not come off 😔

Fits strummer
Replacement strummer spool slightly more expensive than self winding an old one but works well and quite robust line

Expensive for 6m
6m is not enough when you have a lot of heavy duty strumming to do. It lasted me less than ten minutes having to tackle bramble. Really disappointed that black and decker give you 6m for over £10 when you can buy near the exact same of 50m for £6.
