Kills tree roots
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Has really helped to kill the roots from the tree next door. Basement hasn't flooded since we started using it.

Excellent product
I use root X for the past several years, once in the fall and once in the spring. Saves me money on a plumber to snake out the roots from a silver maple tree.

Works as described
This product was easy to use. The containers are high quality. The foaming action works quickly, so it's necessary to have the buckets of water ready. There are well made, easy to follow instructional videos online.

A must since 2021 to keep roots under control.
Since we have had a root problem noted in our pipes in 2021, this helps keep them under control. We learned to work with the foam. have water ready. My son also snakes it with a machine.

Chemical works great.... just be careful with application.
I've used the active ingredient in this product for many years and when I forgot and stopped, I had more root problems within a year. I used this particular brand as Oblitiroot was no longer available. I bet it will kill and slow root growth just fine, but had a terrible mess in the basement. The lateral had just been scoured clean with high pressure water/camera from Rotorooter. I put this in the cleanout as per instructions then flushed the toilets the appropriate number of times and even poured water down them with a 5 gallon bucket to get the right volume. It certainly foamed up as it is supposed to, but a lot of it went up the floor drain. I've ordered it again and will cover the floor drain with a sandbag next time!

a good way to prevent sewer backups
I've been rootx each year for around 10 years. I don't know if it's cheaper than having to call a plumber occasionally for a flooded basement, but it's well worth it. I haven''t had any backups since I started using it.
