Doesn't completely protect you, but still good.
Despite wearing the gloves, my hands still inevitably get muddy and also pricked by thorns. So, they definitely dont stop all plants and materials from getting to the hand. But, that’s ok for now. I can’t manoeuvre proper thick gloves anyway. I bought another pair as my partner stole mine haha. Good gloves! Just not 5/5 for me.

These really DO protect from thorns and brambles
I had my doubts about these gloves before I used them, but I have to say they are excellent. The leather really seems impenetrable when it comes to handling brambles, roses, etc (which i do a lot.) However, while other all-leather gloves also protect, what sets THESE gloves apart is the side panels, which allow for total flexibility in use. Goodbye to clumsy garden gloves! To some extent I forget I'm even wearing them. And if they get wet or dirty they are very easy to clean and dry.The velcro tab allows for a relatively tight fit, which is also helpful. I am 100% satisfied with these.

Great but still get the odd painful prickle!
I can’t give them 5 stars because you still do get some really painful prickles coming through but my god they make a different!

Garden Gloves
I bought these as reviewers said they were thorn proof. When they arrived, they seem the same as previous pairs of garden gloves I have purchased. They are good and comfortable but not thorn resistant, at least not Hawthorne and rose bush thorns. I wear garden gloves out very quickly so they will be OK. Good for weeding but not for planting out. I usually wear thin latex gloves for that. I will have to see how durable they are.
