This electric kettle is just what I needed. It boils the water and shuts off and that is perfect for me . My LAST kettle had what I thought would be a good feature of keeping the water close to the boil for an extended period. It drove me crazy. I can't count the number of times I would settle into my first hot tea of the morning, sit down in my comfy chair, open my email, turn on the TV, and x many minutes later there it is coming to the boil again and I would have to get up and turn it off. The wasted power and potential to boil dry irritated me. Also I have always understood that hot tea should made with freshly boiled water.THIS one has now been my workhorse water boiler for 9 months of boiling water several times a day . There are no indications wear and tear. After my initial purchase as s a precaution I boiled and poured out a a couple of batches of water. I never experiences any "new water boiler taste". Yes, I would buy another one and I have recommended it to my children. I never make tea in it. I boil the water and pour it into my tea pot or cup.

During our five week trip to Australia and New Zealand, every hotel and B&B had this induction based kettle. It boils water very quickly. The kettle is not connected to the electrical. The base is. It automatically shuts down when the water goes to a full boil. As I sometimes start a boil and move on to other things as boiling water takes so long, and microwaving a cup of water can make a mess, this system is really great. And yes, it would quickly get a French press coffee out as the longest process is waiting for the water to boil. The pot is well constructed, better than any we had during our trip. A steel base, a filter (if you need it) which easily comes out to clean. It is awesome.

It works great and it boils water quickly. The top opens by pushing a button. The button got stuck once but has been working fine since. It’s good deal for the price. It’s a little to difficult to dry by hand but it’s fine. I’d buy it again because I like how the kettle itself isn’t attached to the power cord. It sits on a base.

I've had this kettle for quite some time now, well over a year and I absolutely love it and use it every day. Something happened to my filter when I was cleaning it and the mesh popped off and when I reached out for help getting a new filter they offered to send an entire new kettle. Fantastic product and customer service

This has been a great purchase. It’s worked great. Is easy to use. And we use it at least once a day. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

I went back and forth between buying a regular old stovetop kettle and an electric. I had concerns because of the some of the reviews on some, but I ended up so happy that I bought this one. I especially love that the cord is attached only to the base, so you can lift kettle right up and walk away with it, with no cord. It's super easy to use and heats up water very quickly. It does get very hot on the outside, but I think that's typical.

I have been using this kettle on a daily basis for almost a month and love it. As a "lefty" I am very happy that the markings for the water level are on both sides of the kettle. They are very easy to see. The water heats up very quickly, and with the internal blue light I can see when the water is approaching the boiling point so I can turn it off prior to that. I now make 6 cups of coffee in my Aeropress coffee maker a lot quicker as I was previously heating water in a microwave.

I don’t usually write reviews but wow this is great! Light weight, brings water to a boil ultra fast. Auto shut-off when water is ready, with a light inside to see too. Amazing value for the price. Nice size, doesn’t take up too much counter space. Great for small kitchens, or even a great gift for college students. So many uses, I’d definitely recommend.
