It works well and looks smart. The only contact the water has with plastic is when the it is being poured through the spout where there is a plastic mesh attached to the lid. The lid is plastic but the underside is metal which means less chance of plastic contamination. I have not weighed it but it seems a little heavier than others we've had.

I brought this with the intention of using it in my work van for brews when on the road, things you need to know is this 600 watt kettle pulls 759 watts from my (1200watt) inverter from start to boiling, it holds two full size mugs of water and takes about 5min to boil stone cold water, the lid is very flimsy and doesn't seal well but not a problem if your sensible when pouring boiling water out of it, it does auto shut off when boiling, all in all fit for what I wanted it for used every day for last 3 weeks no problem

This is my best and favourite kettle yet, and at nearly 65, I've had a few!I like the design, the large opening, making it easy to fill, the capacity, the speed of boiling. The cool wall for safety. In fact, everything about it, from a well known trusted brand. I use it with a fridge jug filter, but the transparent body will make it easy to see when a descale is needed, although living in a soft to medium area, that won't be very often. 10/10 ⭐

It's compact, light and very neat looking.Unfortunately I cannot comment on the speed of heating as it was not working (light came on thats it) . I can forgive an issue here and there but the fact ot was not working kind of takes the biscuit...well I had some lovely ones to hand but no hot water to make a nice brew to dunk them inSaved you a hassle, keep looking.Sent back for a refund and purchased elsewhere.

I decided to purchase this kettle as I was going abroad and really wanted a cup of tea whilst away as it is the only thing I miss and, I love a cuppa first thing in the morning. However, this kettle seemed to take 20 to 30 minutes to heat up! I gave the kettle several chances to improve but, there was no improvement. I also found that once the kettle had heated up, there was only enough boiling water for one cup at a time. In the end, I gave up. Very disappointed.

Works well. Lid sticks sometimes, otherwise no issues.
