This is a simple choose your own adventure book. there are no dice and the routes through the book are relatively short to keep you younger reader engaged.My 9 year old son finds reading a chore but has read this a couple of times now.It's probably too basic for older children but he enjoyed the novelty so hopefully it will ease him into the longer chose your own adventure titles.I'd say that this is aimed at 5 years plus, it has large clear type and nice illustrations.

I bought this book for my daughter as I was telling her about similar books I had when I was a child. She loved the concept of being to decide her own story path. The only criticism would be that some of the stories are a bit lame, but it still didn't stop my daughter from going back to the beginning again and choose a different route through the story.

My 7 and 9 year old boys love this. They have read it too many times to count in the few months we have had it. It has a nice amount of words in that they can feel challenged but get through a story in a night. I have not had a book yet that they have been so enticed to read.

This was a well received present

I read these books when I was growing up and I was thrilled to find them again to buy for my sons. The text is a little easy so its not so much for my 9 year old to read himself but its the idea that I bought it for. ie. Do you go down to the river? or cross through the forest. You decide. My youngest loves this type of scenario too.

Don't often write a review. I wish I never got this book for my son last Christmas. Me and the wife are bored of reading it.I can safely say we read this book 2-3 weeks on the trot every night. For nearly a year now he loves it.
