Perfect for long throw Projectors
I have to say I was a little dubious about this product before trying it. I have a projector around 12 ft from the screen and it can be a little tiresome to always run a cable from the sky box to the projector. This solves the problem perfectly!I tested in 1080P and it was as good as a connected cable with zero lag, dropouts or distortion. I also tested in 4K and would rate it 8/10 as I did get the very occasional delay. As most broadcast TV is in 1080P this is the setting that I would recommend as it gave no issues at all. The product is also well made and set up is super quick and easy, overall a great product for a really good price.

Great solution where cables are difficult to use!
Having my consoles upstairs and my big tv downstairs, I was looking for a solution to be able to stream my xbox to it. Hardwiring would be the cheapest and easiest option but looks rubbish with a long cable strung downstairs. In steps this cool little gadget!Installation is really easy! The device comes in two parts, the transmitter and the receiver…. Both of which need power to operate so ensure you have a USB source nearby! Plug both into the HDMI out and Inputs and itll stream over to the tv!Only downside Ive found so far is it only supports 30hz at 4k and so I have to adjust my settings on my xbox every time due to normally sending out 4k at 60hz… its frustrating but no biggie.Theres a touch of lag at times too but if using it to watch films its fine. The game we play isnt a quick reaction game so a small amount off lag is no problem at all (we play a quiz game, Jackbox tv which doesn’t need quick controller imputs) This could be an issue for some but its totally fine for me! It could also be used to stream power point presentations and photos which is brill!Overall its a great and simple solution to streaming content with the hassle of cables. Pretty good!

The perfect solution for casting to another device. Simply brilliant!
This is a simple yet clever little device that simplified my previous wired setup and means I am now able to stream and enjoy films on my portable projector much more easily. You can use this for computers, laptops, TV’s, gaming consoles too so it is pretty versatile in its usage. The system provides you with two main components, one transmitter and one receiver. The units are plug and play so no messing around needing to install programs or device drivers. I simply attached the transmitter to my main TV output port and the receiver to my projector input port, and aside from pairing up (which literally takes seconds by the way) the hardest part was deciding what to watch. I have used the projector in the garden just the once to test out the connection which worked perfectly, but due to the weather I have mainly been using this gizmo in the bedroom. I was initially worried about the signal getting through to my third floor bedroom but so far so good and streaming seems to remain stable. I am using 1080p though to ensure a smooth signal as I am so far away from the transmitter in this room. I have tested in the garden and in my daughters bedroom at 4K and haven’t seen any noticeable lag or delays though so that’s promising. Time will tell if I have any issues and I have yet to test out any gaming consoles but I have no reason to think this product wouldn’t work just as well. I may need to alter the consoles display frame rate though down to 30Hz as it currently outputs at 60Hz and this unit only runs at 30Hz. Worth bearing in mind but it’s not a huge issue to be fair.Overall I am more than pleased with this product. It does exactly what it says it should and is super simple and easy to set up and use. The accompanying instruction manual is comprehensive and clear, and the quality of all parts and components that I can see appear to be good with the whole 2 piece units themselves feeling rather well made. I cannot find anything to fault or dislike about this at all and I am more than happy to recommend this device to anyone. Simply brilliant!

Cracking price and works well, great value compared to other more premium brands
Product is very nicely boxed, has an extensive setup guide and has all the cables you need. It has a transmitter and a receiver. In terms of the receiver I tested this out with my 4K tv which had a spare HDMI input that I could use and the receiver has a USB C connector with the supplied cable you can plug that into the USB port you have on your TV (it should supply the 5V needed to power it - mine did). The device I was going to try it with was my Chromebook, unfortunately that didn't have an HDMI port so I had to plug in a USB C dock that I had that supplied the HDMI port and I plugged in the transmitter there and likewise the cable to power it went into a standard USB A port. Right away it automatically connected and I didn't have to do anything. The picture was high resolution and there was no noticeable lag. I played a youtube video and it worked well with the sound coming through the TV clearly.I also tried it out as just a casting device. So I unplugged the transmitter and on the input channel for the receiver it comes up with some instructions onscreen. I have an android phone and as part of that I can cast from it, I pressed the cast button on my phone and I could immediately see the j5 receiver, again it worked well when I cast from my phone. With the instructions it notes if you don't get automatically connected then you can press the connect button. It also looks like you can change some of the parameters on the device by connecting directly to it using a web browser and logging into the device (I've not done this but may play with it at some point). This is a great little device (I've used much more expensive options in my workplace), I can't really fault it and at this price if you don't want wires everywhere then it's a no brainer.I'll likely use this with my projector to allow whatever is needed to be transmitted to be transmitted.
