Better options for a course more dollars .
Honestly , I brought this for two reasons , they we a little less than the set I was familiar with, and , they were black.I didn't realize that these just didn't pop in , you have to use a Phillips head screw driver to expand them into the walker. Thar was probably my fault for assisting otherwise . I understand that this is probably for reducing manufacturing costs, to have a 'one size fits all'.With that being said, they should have used a little of that savings on better materials and finishing. It does not slide well on surfaces at all, and due to the sharp edges catching on everything , I feel it is a dangerous product .I do not recommend this for walkers, or any other nobility devices. I am ordering the other set, and replacing these as soon as possible.

GREAT SLIDES, EASY INSTALLATION.
I recently purchased these for my Mother, who resides in an assisted living facility. While most of her use of the walker is on carpet, we go out about once or twice a week and use the walker on concrete and other surfaces. She started out with tennis balls, which didn't slide well on carpet. We then purchased white plastic glides from a health care store. They worked fine, but wore out in about a year and were over twice the cost. After reading the reviews, i decided to purchase these. When they came i noticed right away that they were quite a bit thicker than the ones from the health store. They were fairly simple to install. Just slip them into the hole, make sure they are pointed with the curved part of the slide forward, and tighten the screw. I kept tightening until they were snug, then turned slightly more to make sure they didn't turn. When tightening, be careful now to over tighten, since they are made of plastic and you could strip out the threads. My mother then took then for a test run and they seem to work fine. They slid well over carpet and over thresholds on the doors with no problem. Only time will tell how long they last, but seem to be made well and I expect a much longer life than the previous ones i purchased from the Health Store.

Very good replacement for round rubber feet on Drive walkers
These are a great improvement over the original round rubber rear feet on a Drive 10220-2WW walker. Slip them in, turn the screw clockwise with a Phillips head screwdriver, and it will eventually snug up nice and tight inside the leg. I would not recommend using Herculean strength when tightening the screw. Test the fit every few turns and stop when it's tight. I'm concerned that over-tightening might strip the threads in the piece that expands the part. They slide quite well on tile, carpet, asphalt, and concrete. Be careful approaching carpets that aren't wall-to-wall. I've had mine catch an edge of the carpet when I wasn't paying attention. I've done that a couple of times on a heavy, rubber-edged carpet in a cafeteria; I think the foot twisted a hair to the side so I'll readjust them. Can't testify to how long these will last - obviously longer if used only on carpet or vinyl tire, less if introduced every day to concrete or asphalt. But the bottom is a tad over 3/8" thick. I'm finding that the front is wearing down faster than the rear. I use it on asphalt parking lots at the grocery store, concrete sidewalks, as well as inside buildings on vinyl and tile floors.

Look better than tennis balls, had to modify
They should provide exact measurement details for a better experience. I.E. inside diameter of the tube vs outside.I have a very common "Guardian" walker and with the bottom screw tighten all the way, they were still too loose and could turn sideways. I had to put tape around the plastic stem to fill in the space to make them tight and they work fine now. This is used for indoor and I have also used a self adhesive furniture glide on the bottom to make it less noisy on a wooden floor.Once installed they do the job properly.

really like these glides
Second purchase, so I must have liked the first ones. I bought these to replace the ones I bought for my adult daughter's walker, in fact I bought 2 sets this time. She wore out the first set in a few months, but she really gave them a workout. She was recovering from back surgery and used her walker on all kinds of surfaces . . . uneven pavement, gravel, flooring of all types. . . she really likes these glides. We had tried a few other types that just didn't do the job. These installed easily and were easy to remove from herĀ Lumex 716270P-1 Everyday Walker with 5" Wheels, Dual Release, Plum . I expect this to be my last purchase, since she rarely needs to use her walker anymore (knocks on wood). Even so, I've got a spare set now, just in case.

Easy Fix for Walkers with Worn Out "Skis"
My wife uses a walker outside, and the rubbing on cement, etc. rapidly wore the "skis" down on the rear legs. These were easy to install, just loosen the screw on the old skis and pull them out, push these in with the curve to the front, and tighten it down.Durability remains to be seen, but almost $10 for a couple screws and some plastic seems a little steep.

These do a good job and the plastic glide lasts longer
The challenge with any set of glides is that the plastic breaks down over time. Prior to getting these, we used a different brand and the base was not as thick therefore they would wear out in about 6 months to 8 months of regular (but not daily use). These glides have lasted much longer. Good grip and I like that we can size them to fit the walker better as well.
