A sturdy, versatile card storage system!
One of my biggest gripes is card games that come with unfriendly packaging that makes it difficult to put cards back in quickly, neatly and easily (I'm looking at you Uno, Monopoly Bid etc.)This is where these Mage Tech cases are absolutely amazing. Each box can hold cards for 2 of these type of games. Cards are protected and each game can be separated using the included dividers. It makes them perfect for travel. The case itself is well made, with a grippy, tactile finish on the outside and a nice soft velvety microfibre finish inside. Your cards are guaranteed to be kept safe. The box is quite roomy and does seem to be geared towards wider cards as my Uno sets do have a lot of space to the side. The box also has a window on the front with a sturdy plastic sleeve for a 'window' card that you would want to show off. I'm most likely to just write the names of the games that I have stored in the box. It's a nice idea and geared more towards using these for display since the window is the weakest part of the box. The magnetic lid has a very secure fit and is unlikely to open even if stored in a rucksack or thrown about when traveling. The lid is longer on one side with an additional crease because it has been cleverly designed to fold under the box so you can deal cards straight out of the box! An ingenious little design clearly by someone who loves their card games and knows exactly who the target market is.I think this is a great idea. I love the size and sturdiness of this box and will definitely be buying more in the future! At £14.99 (at time of review) it may seem a little expensive but it's a well made, sturdy box that will protect it's contents. I think it offers good value.

Handy!
I recently got my hands on the Mage Tech Commander Deck Box Lite in purple, and it has quickly become my go-to storage solution for my trading card collection! The patented design is not only stylish but also incredibly practical. It easily fits over 100 single-sleeved cards, which is perfect for my Magic: The Gathering decks. One standout feature is the mini-snap mechanism that keeps the box securely closed while allowing for quick access to my cards. The removable cover is a game-changer, making it easy to display my favorite cards without fumbling through the box. I appreciate that it’s lightweight and portable, which is essential for taking my decks to game nights and tournaments. The vibrant purple color adds a nice touch, making it a fun addition to my collection. The durable materials give me confidence that my cards are well protected from wear and tear, ensuring they stay in great condition. The Mage Tech Commander Deck Box Lite is a fantastic investment for any card game enthusiast. It combines functionality and style effortlessly, making it a must-have for anyone who loves to keep their decks organized and ready for action!

Essentially the perfect form-factor for a Commander deck, easily handles 99+ double sleeved cards
The deckbox arrived in perfect condition and was packed into a clear plastic pouch that was securely taped shut with a couple strips of clear packing tape. Alongside the box you get two plastic dividers in matching colour and a crystal clear container for the commander of your deck slipped into its own compartment on the front of the deckbox.I can’t fault anything about this box really, it’s very nicely made with good quality materials throughout with quality stitching. The magnets have no problems keeping the lid tightly in place while the box is open, closed and in the ‘Tech Stand’ position. The materials are essentially the same as what you’d get with the Ultimate Guard Xenoskin type boxes with the exact same textured PU leather on the outside and a soft protective microfibre on the inside keeping things safe.I’m not sure why they’re selling themselves short on the title for this, the box has zero issues with all of my double sleeved decks, even the ones with the slightly thicker dragon shield sleeves. The only way you aren’t fitting your deck in there is if you’ve just freshly sleeved them, and you didn’t squeeze the extra air out from each card as you were doing it. I could easily another dozen or so tokens alongside the 99 cards from my deck comfortably and that's without taking the plastic dividers out.The fact is that this mage-tech box isn’t exactly innovative in any way despite what they may claim, it’s a very generic white-labled product with the company's logo stamped into the surface. Ultimate Guard made a popular product and now there are literally hundreds of companies selling clones and I wouldn’t even be surprised if a lot of them are coming from the same factories as the Ultimate Guard originals during third shifts etc. This one does set itself apart a little by providing a very nice snap-closure container and a nice quality clear sleeve for your commander or display card for the deckbox window, but that’s about it really. It’s also a bit pricey for what it is, and you can easily find cheaper clones all over the internet from various stores, however if you’re happy to pay £14.99 there isn’t anything wrong with this product at all, it’s as good as any other deckbox of this type, and I’ve tried more than a few from a half-dozen or so brands at this point.
