I purchased a jar of Portland Toast Sugar on Amazon and needed a shaker to put it in (not sure why they don't sell it in a shaker). These shakers works great and are small enough to take in my purse to restaurants. I'm not a syrup lover, so I occasionally take my own cinnamon and sugar blend to put on French toast, pancakes and cream cereal. Hubby would tell you it's one of my many quirks. :) I also like that they have two different sets/sizes of holes to suit whatever product you choose to put in your shaker. And the top of the shaker in marked to indicate which holes are where, small on one side and larger on the other.

The top takes roughly a tenth of a turn to close/open, so as you can imagine, it pops open constantly!!!The "see-saw" top to move between the two openings is not done well.It is an effort to keep it in the middle to not leave any openings on either side.Overall, it's not very sealed and spices make a mess around the edges, air also gets in entirely too easily, which also means humidity, which means your spices will just start clumping up inside.
