Fantastic multimeter!
Fantastic multimeter!! I choose it over the Fluke 117 or 170 series or the more expensive ones. Why? It has all the features what you need for troubleshooting and repair (products already on the market, not designing phase)- it is ok even for designers too but maybe not accurate enough. For 99.9% of the troubleshooting is more than accurate.-I never needed to measure Amps with DMM (116 lacks this function, only mA range, that is why only 2 lead connectors-not 3 or 4, no fuse inside so cannot be blown even accidentally), if i had to i used a digital lab psu with adjustable voltage and current limit, and read the current drawn on the psu.-Can measure temperature -117 cant.-It has a low Z (impedance) mode (and auto ac or dc voltage select at the same time), 170 series or the expensive ones dont, internal resistance is not 10MOhm but 3K in this mode, perfect for discharging capacitors (digital camera, DSLR flash), or test battery in a bit more realistic way.-Auto V is handy when testing for ex. laptop chargers. Measure output V (usually 19 Vdc), not there - measure power lead (230 Vac), no need to change between ac and dc on DMM. note1: if both present bigger V will be measured, note2: AutoV and LowZ comes in package so AutoV means 3K internal resistance ...not recommended on sensitive electronics, note3: for normal 10 MOhm operation turn selector to the right, V ac or dc mode.Example: testing digital camera flash, if you want to know that the capacitor is being charged or not first turn selector to the right Vdc mode (10Mohm) now you can read the V stored in the capacitor, then turn selector to the most left LowZ now you can discharge it. If measured right away in LowZ you wont know what was the V in capacitor as it discharges in few sec.-Continuity tester beep is latched (no scratchy noise from speaker), 500 microsec or longer will trigger it, ultrafast, cant miss (unless the surface is dirty or oxidized), often used by me, directly accessible by selector knob, not only secondary function which needs another button push, nice. You cannot touch the probes together that fast it would miss.-Small in size, selector can be turned one handedly - not the expensive ones, nice.-reliable to the max, never freezing, never overshoots (when showing higher V on probe touch or when circuit becomes live)-wont allow you to measure when battery low, BATT is shown on lcd but cant use, not like the Chinese crap DMM what measures stupid values instead of turning off.-lcd refrash rate: 4/s, just perfect, faster movement of the numbers would make your eyes and brain go crazy, maybe the lcd could not follow properly, the "analog bar" is refreshed 32/s, very fast-auto off: 20 mins fixed, wont beep on me to remind me that i forget to turned it off, love it, just silently goes to sleep, before another DMM beeped on me all the time i wanted to throw out on the windowcons:-lcd is bad quality by design, only at a certain angle is readable, with nice lcd would be too perfect - own product cannibalism. If fixed on desktop not that hard to position it, on field better not to use the stand on its back just lay it flat on the surface.-in min-max-avg mode autorange doesnt work, have to set range before enter this mode-"hold" is not the real useful hold, when you have to concentrate on touching the probes cant read the lcd, so AutoHold would keep the measured value on screen, this is not it.....Kinda workaround: set the expected range, enter minmax mode, then cycle trough min-max-avg to read the values-Overall: mostly for repair jobs i would not change this for ANY DMM. Highly recommended!

Clamp meter came not calibrated for the Amp jaw meter.
As a fan of Fluke products I was a little disappointed by the fact that the clamp-meter was not functioning correctly. Thanks to Amazon I was able to recover the cost for the calibration, done here at a local shop , and I did not have to return the product. Unfortunately I have to say that Fluke support team was very unresponsive and not helpful. I think this was the biggest disappointment considering the premium level a Fluke product.

Fluke Sets and Quality
I absolutely love my Fluke test meters as well as their inferred meters and Clamp meters I am a Certified Maintenance Technician at a plastic company that produces bags and sheets for so many companies and our machines are all Electronically Based machines from the Heat control to the brushless computer board controlled motors that start and stop on a hair in less then a fraction of a second and Fluke has never failed me or any of our Technicians when it comes to testing capacitors or logic controllers or simply buses 600v fuses and wiring and magnetic electric motor power switches I don’t know how to explain it any simpler of that we have put fluke meters and readers there but they have always prevailed 100 percent accurately better then us technicians operating them lol great tools for the buck and built to last I’ve had some meters take some hard falls and survive with minimum scratches and dents as it’s said in life you get what you pay for and I for one show what I have bought cause I know I’ll only have to buy this once the only reason I purchased this package set and clamp was for on call purposes as it’s easy to carry at 3 am and will do the job I need to do when I get in to company to see what problem lies ahead of me once I get there as my expensive tools I don’t leave out in the open and it’s easier for me to bring these sets in then go open up maintenance room and tool chest at 3 am to change out a buses 600 amp fuse or reset a breaker or replace a thermocupling simple and correct observation the first time is key cause if I’m there for 2hrs or 5 minute I get paid for four but the company expects everything right the first time around and I depend on my tools that’s why I use and choose Fluke products. That’s the bottom line

Pretty sweet
This is a good buy. Nice kit except it doesn’t come with the alligator clips which are another $26. But still a good kit at a good price

Fluke has never failed me
I had roughly 6 DVOM’s one which I used to test a 240v circuit, I knew it was a live circut, but the one I was using showed the circuit was dead. Well that’s the exact moment I decided I was buying a fluke. This meter hasn’t steered me wrong yet and I don’t expect it to, worth every cent don’t hesitate it’s quality unmatched, accuracy is huge asset, smaller than most flukes I’ve used; but bigger than the pocket size, easy to see dial has a backlight for display, and this model was quite affordable and easy to use overall
