Should have bought them sooner!
I've been struggling with some hearing loss and tinnitus for a while, audiology had advised that the hearing loss is not severe enough for hearing aids, but that some people had positive results with loops. Bought the ones that have three settings. Was able to hear, and hold conversation in a busy area, then hear the Manic Street Preacher concert, without pain and ringing. The ear plug are comfortable to wear, they stayed put whilst I was leaping around at the gig, and made the whole evening more enjoyable. They worked well when we went to see a musical as well, and allowed me to hear what I needed. its easy to adjust the settings, and I didn't need to take them out to do so. Am only gutted I didn't buy them before.

The best concert earplugs I have found
Ever since I suffered from tinnitus for a few months ten years or so ago, I have always worn earplugs at rock concerts to avoid the possibility of aggravating it.I've tried multiple different types - I started out with the Etymotics that are widely recommended, but they were brutally uncomfortable to wear and never seemed to block much sound, while completely cutting the treble and ruining the sound balance. For several years thereafter, I used a pair of Dubs from the short-lived Doppler Labs in the US, which were a lot more comfortable than the Etymotics, but still weren't perfect, and also rolled off more treble than I wanted. But I've now worn a pair of these at a couple of gigs, and they are pretty close to perfect. Extremely comfortable to the point you forget you are wearing them, but still very secure in your ears, and easy to fit and remove. But the best thing is the sound. They have switchable attenuation, and on the lowest (i.e. least attenuated) setting, the sound through them was excellent - no aggressive treble cut, what sounded like a completely flat sound balance; just quieter. They reduced the volume to the point where I had no concern it was going to do me any harm, but I could still enjoy the music.I still don't like wearing earplugs at gigs; they are a necessary evil - but these are by far the best I have found; thoroughly recommended to anyone else who wants to take care of their hearing while still (largely) enjoying the music!

Effective at blocking peripheral noise.
Comfortable and effective. We have a new build site next us and it has cut out most of the noise from the diggers and tipper trucks

Overpriced and not fit for use
These, as with most Loop products, are incredibly over priced. I’ve been using the loop engage 2 for a while now with good results. I find that they block out enough of the background without stopping me from being able to hear people calling my name. These however are just useless. The three modes are quiet, quieter and a bit quieter but that’s it. It’s not like I can flick between the modes as they are all useless for me. And at such a high cost too it’s not worth it. Loops customer service is awful too.

Highly recommend
Reading up on these online I was unsure weather to buy them, I have the switch 1's and they work well however I did have issues with fitting regardless of tip size used so when I read that the switch 2 dont reduce volume as much as the original switchs I had doubts. However they fit much better and often forget I have them in, having a better seal they for me reduce noise even more and after a little getting used to them I can actually hear conversations much clearer but this did take a day or two to adjust to using them.I've found the new edition is even great with headsets/phones blocking out static wind, wind and other noises or reducing them but still been able to hear the person talking on the other end just at a much lower volume.Highly recommend

Cheers from my ears
So far, so good. I've been using these Loop Switch 2 earplugs for around a week and I've tried them in various scenarios. Work - in a shared office space, they help deaden background conversation and music. Busy stores - the overstimulation of crowded spaces is lessened but I can still hold a conversation. Cinema - during a very loud screening they allow full enjoyment of a film while protecting the ears. They're very comfortable and after carefully selecting the right silicone caps, I'm sure anyone would be able to choose the right size for each ear uniquely. The design looks great, I went for black, with a matching carry case that fits on my keys. If you've been thinking about getting these and can't decide, take it from someone who wasn't sure - I'm very happy with mine and I use them daily.

Beware, they might not fit!
I wanted to love these earplugs. On their first outing, they seemed to do absolutely nothing to reduce the sound of train I was riding while trying them. I looked at the instructions, tried all of the size of tips (4 sizes are provided), and also looked at the company website. All I ended up with was sore ear canals. After some investigation and reading other sites (the company's own site is not at all helpful, and the video on how to wear them is poor, as the models hand is in front of the earplugs, so you can't see how they are put in), I was able to figure out how to use the smallest tip (XS) to fit in my right ear. Here, I could experience some reduced sound, which might have been good overall, if the product fit both ears. But, alas, I could not make the product work for the left ear. Apparently, I have small ear canals. I tried many angles and tricks like pulling on the ear, to no avail. In sum, these earplugs might be good if they fit you. They are nice-looking, sit flat, and the switch between modes can be adjusted in-ear. But they were useless for me. I am very grateful, though, that they are returnable, as they are very pricey.
