I ordered this product April 13th (Wednesday), and received it the 27th, exactly two weeks later.This is an adorably good way for covering up in the cold, or getting my hair to behave in the wind.ProsIt's much softer than I thought it would be. Hat (or helmet) hair won't be a problem.It's thick. It shouldn't tear, rip, or thread away too easy.Even in the warm, it doesn't overheat you, but still keeps you happy in the cold.The visor comes down easily.ConsTwo weeks is a pretty long time to ship. But it stated it wouldn't come until mid-May, so it's much earlier than expected.This is quite big on me. It would come down to my nose if I didn't fold it. I'm a 21-year-old girl, so I don't think it would fit kids very well. If you have a bigger head, don't worry! You should be just fine being your knight self.The buttons do seem a little weak, but I used black yarn and extra large needles to fix that easily.Also, I used to have a 14th level D&D fighter with full plate armor, and it's a bit of fun to put this on during D&D. Overall, I recommend it.

This was purchased as a gift for a nephew who loves knights; it fits my adult head, so it should grow with him if he'd like to continue wearing it as he gets older. Seems thick enough to be more than just a "fashion hat." (Of course, we'll see when winter truly sets in.) I showed it to his mom before wrapping it, and she was also very impressed with the product overall.12/24/14 Update:According to family present for gift opening, this was the "gift of the night." (Also, it was a "gift of the Knight.") It fit perfectly, and it really does combine a fun idea with a practical use. So glad that it arrived sooner than expected!

This is definitely a 'you get what you pay for' item. Hat is about 2-3 inches too large for the average human head around, it would fit OVER my real joust helmet. It also came with a horrific smell and the black stitching added to front has multiple stitches already undone and is coming off. The black stitching was also placed unevenly and thus ruins the 'helmet' affect.

Too large. Also the button placement for the "hinge" was too high. Still looks cool. However because the hat is too big I cannot wear it while driving. The hat randomly droops over my eyes.

This hat looks nice, and the yarn is very soft. However, there are a lot of loose ends in the knitting, and the worst part is that it STINKS of chemicals -- maybe formaldehyde?? -- VERY badly. I am giving this for a gift, so I can't say how well it holds up. However, I have it airing out right now. I hope it smells all right by Christmas, because it's supposed to be a gift. Also, it only took 16 days from ordering to mailbox (in Arizona), so much faster shipping than expected.

This beanie is AWESOME!!! I love the way the visor looks both when you pull it down to cover your mouth, or leave it on top of your head. This is a very warm beanie. It only feels nice when it's 40 degrees and lower. If its not that cold, then the beanie just feels too hot and stuffy.This is also very comfortable and soft! :)

I found this hat searching specifically for kids knight hats. I can't believe no one has commented on how huge it is. My 5 year old has a rather large head (over 90th percentile) and it is huge on him. It works for play as intended, but it falls down and often frustrates him. it is HUGE. I got it based off of reviews and the fact that my specific search lead to this hat. It is definitely a hat for an adult (but it obviously does not work as a winter hat...so I am really not sure who the target age group is for this because I would say no one)

Bought this for my 10 year old for Christmas and he loves it. It fits him perfectly, and it's very well made. The holes that fit over the buttons to hold the visor on become stretched with too much use, so I'd suggest leaving it up as often as possible. Other than that, it's super cute and he gets compliments wherever we go.
