FYI: I purchased this thinking they would be small wood chips, as pictures and as described in the name. They are actually designed to be wood shavings. I don’t own a wine smoker and could not use them for that. These wouldn’t work for a bbq smoker box as they’d fall right through the holes, which is what I was searching for. Returned and got my money back. Very easy to return. Thanks!

I high recommend this. I am by no means a mixologist but my husband is into trying new drinks so we got this after reading a NY Times article on it. Very easy to use as long as you don't put too much wood in to start (err on the side of caution). He made some very cool smoke infused cocktails after looking up some youtube tutorials. Next up we are going to try smoking cheeses. Had no idea people did that.

I got this for my hubby for Christmas, and he uses it all the time now to smoke his cocktails. It's great!

It was the first time using a stove top smoker. The wood chips was more like a saw dust. They had good flavor and worked perfect with the stove top smoker.

Makes a lot of smoke. Needs to be ignited by hand. You smoke anything with this, literally.

for our use on a small dish smoker this has the perfect amount of chips for our needs . this will enable us to use FRESH wood chips every time we use them

You have to understand that it's not the same as having something in a smoker for hours and hours.But, if you need to infuse smoke into something, this device works perfectly.The amount of smoke that it adds to whatever you are making, is significant. Depending on how long, and what wood chips you use, this is perfect for smoking on the fly.I use it a lot more than I anticipated, and I will continue to use it for anything other than actual barbecue smoking dishes.5 stars!

Do not use for smoking food. I can't say about drinks. I would assume the same. Product is fake. Is not the flavour it says. There is no smoke flovour. Just generic wood chips. ( meaning: if it says mesquite or whatever flovour. It's not. There just badly kept woos chips )Getting less then you payed for in this case.Extremely. Had purchased another version which broke after a few used.This one is very robust, and blows a lot of smoke.

This is sawdust in a tiny jar. I opened it and started laughing hysterically. Oh, and it smells like latex paint.I used it, it burned up within minutes.
